Tippett to be dealt?

Flyers might try and move Tippett in the Offseason.

Hey everyone, we are back with another blog post as today we head to Philly as according to a recent article from David Pagnotta the Flyers might look to try and deal Owen Tippett this offseason if they were able to get a good enough haul.

So like I mentioned Pagnotta was talking about the Philadelphia Flyers and mentioned that the Philadelphia Flyers could look to try and trade Owen Tippett in the offseason and could look to revisit that sort of a trade that they tried to make at the deadline. So it seems like the Flyers did listen on Owen Tippett towards the trade deadline and he didn't go anywhere because he wasn't moved, but there was a couple of teams apparently who Pagnotta mentioned did have some serious interest in Tippett which makes a ton of sense.

He's a pretty decent top six forward who I think at his ceiling could be a 25 to 30 goal scorer and put up around 50 to 60 points a year, so I think Tippett’s still a really solid player and once again, Philadelphia is probably going to continue to go through their rebuild in the offseason so I expect a guy like Ristolainen to get moved, however Tippett’s an interesting one as he’s on the younger side of things, so the Flyers do not have to move him, but apparently there are teams who are potentially prepared to give the Flyers some sort of a pretty decent trade package for Tippett in the offseason.

So I'm not going to say it's a guarantee and I think it'll be less likely than a guy like Ristolainen given where the Flyers are and how I think Tippett could help the Philadelphia Flyers going forward, but it does seem like there's a couple of teams who do have some interest as I think teams who could use some top six forwards such as maybe the San Jose Sharks or Maple Leafs, maybe the Florida Panthers would want Tippett back after trading him to Philadelphia all those years ago and maybe there's a couple of other teams out there too who potentially have a need for a top six forward, so we'll have to wait and see on that, but the Philadelphia Flyers I do think could definitely trade Tippett if the price was right.

Now I think they'd have to get a first round pick and a pretty decent prospect or a really solid young NHL player back in return, so I do think the price would be high, but I wouldn't be surprised or shocked if Tippett did get moved in the offseason. So we will have to see on that, but keep an eye on Owen Tippett as there's a potentiality of him getting moved in the offseason.
