Flyers want Stolarz?

 Flyers need goalie help, could target Stolarz.

Hey everyone, today we are looking at a repot from Nick Kyperos talking about how the Flyers who are in desperate need of a goalie could turn to Toronto to add some goalie help. 

Now I know Kyperos is not the greatest insider out there and not a name who I trust the most, but he is mentioning that his sources are saying that maybe the Philadelphia Flyers have some interest in Anthony Stolarz, a guy who actually used to play for the Philadelphia Flyers. Now, Stolarz is currently in Toronto and has been mentioned in trade speculation, however I personally do not believe the Maple Leafs will move a goaltender before the trade deadline, I've seen a lot of people say it's a possibility, but I think with Stolarz and Woll being terribly injured this year, I think if you trade Stolarz, you're risking yourself to potentially losing Woll to injury later in the year and if they are going to try and make some sort of a playoff push, you really don’t want to have Hildeby as your go-to goalender if Woll went down with an injury. 

So I don’t see him currently getting dealt, now I still think there's a very good chance the Leafs move a goaltender, but I think it's more of an offseason move rather than something they do at the deadline. So personally I don't see Stolarz getting moved before this year's trade deadline, but if he was to get moved Philly makes a ton of sense. They seem to be looking for a new goaltender, they are really fed up with Ersson as he’s not played overly well this year and 3rd stringer Kolosov whenever he's been called up has not played overly well this year, while Vladar has been good but he's more of a tandem goalender. 

So they're looking for someone who they can really help to bolster that team and goalie group, there’s not really very many starting level goaltenders on the open market besides maybe a guy like Jordan Binnington and even Binnington I don't think the Flyers are going to be able to meet the ask of St.Louis, but I definitely could see them try to go after Stolarz as he is signed for four more seasons after this year at $3.75, so he’s not overly expensive and he’s been really good for the Toronto Maple Leafs. And with the Leafs now having Woll and Hildeby, they could be a little more open to moving Stolarz because they have a really solid goaltender in Hildeby under contract.

So I'm not going to say it's a guarantee to happen and like I said, I think this is more of an offseason move, but I know the Flyers are in desperate need of some goaltending help and getting back Anthony Stolarz who is familiar with Philly might make a ton of sense, So very interesting to note there, but we'll have to keep our eye on Anthony Stolarz going forward and maybe the Philadelphia Flyers could be the team who lands him, but I would love to hear your thoughts on if Stolarz could get dealt to Philly down below and don’t forget to check out my YouTube Channel.
