Bruins trying to acquire Faulk?

Bruins pivoting to Faulk after failing to get Andersson.

In today’s blog post we head over to the Bruins as tarter missing out on Andersson it seems like they still want a top 4 defender and it seems they know who they want according to some recent reports.

Now, we talked about the Bruins a couple of weeks back just before the Rasmus Andersson deal, it seemed that the Boston Bruins really wanted Rasmus Andersson, but the Vegas Golden Knights were able to beat them out and now Rasmus Andersson is in Vegas, but it seems that the Boston Bruins search for a top four defensive upgrade has not stopped as according to James Murphy, he was talking about the Boston Bruins and he says that this team has some serious interest right now in Blues defenseman Justin Faulk. So that would be very interesting to se the Bruins try and acquire Faulk. It sounds like they really do want a right shot defenseman, but it seems that they might be throwing that idea to the wind right now as they seem to be focused on just trying to get a top four upgrade.

Now the Bruins are in the second wild card spot in the Eastern Conference, a couple of points up on teams like Columbus, Ottawa, Toronto and Washington, so there's no guarantees they will make the playoffs and given the talent on their roster, I could see them going for a tail spin in the second half of the season, but they have been really resilient and it seems like the Bruins staff really wants to reward them for that, so Faulk makes a little bit of sense and adding another top four defenseman after losing a guy like Brandon Carlo last year makes some sense, he could fit really well in that top four with guys like McAvoy and Hampus Lindholm and I think that could be a really good addition there for the Bruins.

Now it seems like the Blues want a Andersson style return for Faulk so you're probably looking to get from the Boston Bruins a possible trade package of maybe Mason Lohrei, a first round pick either this year or next year, a B or C level prospect and then maybe another asset whether it's like a low-end roster player, a low-end prospect, maybe like a lower draft pick or something like that, that’s the sort of package you're looking at if the Bruins were to try and pull off a Justin Faulk deal. So do I think that could happen? Absolutely, I think that the Bruins are an aggressive team and they’re in a playoff spot right now. So, I think they're going to try and add some pieces to try and fill some holes.

Now I don't think it'd be the best option for the Bruins, but the Bruins were apparently heavily in on Rasmus Andersson. So, given that fact, Faulk could easily be the next best defensemen on the trade market right now and I don't think it'd be too surprising to see Boston try and swing for the fences and acquire Justin Faulk. So, we will have to wait on that, but keep your eyes on the Boston Bruins as it seems that they are still in the market for a top four defensemen and it seems like Justin Faulk is at the tippy top of their trade list to try and acquire, So we'll have to keep our eye on that over the next couple of weeks leading up to their trade deadline, but I would like to hear your thoughts on a potential Faulk to the Bruins trade down in the comments section below, and don’t forget to check out my YouTube channel.
