Wild may move Wallstedt?

Could Wild move Wallstedt for Center upgrade.

Hey everyone, today we head to Minnesota as according to recent reports from Russo and Friedman the Minnesota Wild may be open to dealing a surprising player to help them get an upgrade down the middle.

Now both of those guys were talking about the Minnesota Wild and both did mention that the Minnesota Wild could trade star young goaltender Jesper Wallstedt for forward help, now that’s very interesting. According to reports from both guys, the Wild have been using Wallstedt in trade talks to try and add a top six center, that has been their one problem, they have a stellar defense, a pretty good depth forward group, but they don't have the greatest one-two punch down the middle, they have Eriksson Ek and Yurov, which isn't great, it could be good in the next couple of years, but it's not great right now.

And the Wild team really want to try and win a Stanley Cup right now, so with that in mind, it seems like they'd be open to potentially giving off the future starter of their team in Wallstedt, if it was to get them a center who could play either second or first line at this current point in time. Now If I was the Wild, I would be very wary to move off of Wallstedt because he showed flashes early in the year that he could be a top 10 goaltender in a couple of years time and he looked great earlier in the season sure he has tailed off, but he’s a rookie. That's going to happen, but still, Wallstedt has been great and I know they signed Gustavsson to a longer term deal and he's actually done pretty good as well for the Minnesota Wild, but I would be very wary to move off of Wallstedt.

I would personally not move Wallstedt because I think he's a big piece of that team going forward, but if they were to get like a star studded top line center like Pettersson, Schenn, Kadri or Robert Thomas, maybe they move off Jasper Wallstedt. That's I guess a possibility, but it's a very interesting concept. I don't see Wallstedt getting moved even though I think they could try and move him. I think it's a possibility, but I don't think it's a likely possibility and I think it would be more of a bad move from the Minnesota Wild if they were to move off of Wallstedt, who I think has a really bright future. I guess it could happen, but I don't see a Wallstedt move happening before this year's trade deadline, so keep your eye on Wallstedt as the Wild might be willing to move him for the right deal, and I would love to hear your thoughts below and don’t forget to check out my YouTube channel as well.
