Penguins flipping Skinner?

 Could Penguins flip Skinner after recently being acquired?

Hey everyone, in today’s blog post we head over to the Penguins as there was a article recently that mentioned that after acquiring a goalie recently they now could be looking to move off of one and his time in Pittsburgh could be short lived. 

So Frank Seravalli, I think on one of his recent radio hits, was talking about the Pittsburgh Penguins and he says that with the Pittsburgh Penguins having a really solid young rookie in the AHL level in Sergei Murashov, who they are very high on, + they have Arthur Silovs and they have Joel Blomqvist, if they wanted to run with a tandem of any of those two players, then there’s really no need for Stuart Skinner on the Pittsburgh Penguins team. So, he says maybe closer to the trade deadline if there's a couple of teams out there who need some goaltending help maybe the Penguins look to flip newly acquired goalie Stuart Skinner. 

Now we know Montreal is a team who seems to very much need some goaltending help and maybe Columbus, there might be a couple of other teams out there, too who could use some goaltending help like Carolina and Edmonton but they seem to be in better positions then at the start of the year. So if those team need goaltending help then maybe they go after Stuart Skinner in the Pittsburgh Penguins organization. I could possibly see that, but like I said I'm not exactly sure how many teams would need goalies right now, but I could definitely see Pittsburgh move off as Skinner as he's in the final year of his deal making around a $2.5 Million cap hit, I don't think he's a long-term fit in Pittsburgh and  they've got younger guys like Silovs, Blomqvist, and Murashov who I think they really want to see what they've got in those guys.

So, I wouldn't be one bit surprised if Skinner was flipped at the deadline as I think that's a very likely possibility, especially if the price is right for the Pittsburgh Penguins. So, we will have to keep an eye on that, but maybe closer to the trade deadline, we could see Stuart Skinner change teams again, So, we'll have to wait and see on that but keep an eye on the Pen’s as if their are team out there in need of goaltending then I wouldn’t be surprised if they checked in on Skinner and we saw a Skinner trade at some point, so I would love to hear your thoughts below and don’t forget to check out my YouTube channel.
