Habs making goalie move?

 Does Terrible play from Montembeault force the Habs to make a goalie trade?

Hey everyone, in today’s blog post we are taking a look at the Habs as I saw a recent article that mentioned that the Habs may be forced to make some sort of a goalie move soon.

So I saw an article recently talking about the Habs making a goalie move Now I just mentioned this in one of my YouTube videos, they just recalled Jacob Fowler last week. Now Fowler is the Canadiens best goaltending prospect. Dobes has been really good as of late over last year and to start this year, definitely not over the past couple of weeks, but he's still been a really solid prospect. However Fowler is the guy that's the goalie of the future for the Montreal Canadiens. 

He had a really solid start to the AHL level and has looked pretty comfortable in his first few NHL starts, but he has been called up and that has sort of brought into question if the Habs might make a goaltending move. Montembeault especially, the start to this season has not been great and he’s been the worst of the two goalies, Dobes started out on fire, but since has cooled off and hasn't been as good recently. So with that in mind, that's brought a lot of people to question maybe the Montreal Canadiens make a goalie move and I can see why. 

Because if they really want to keep Fowler at the NHL level and continue to let him grow and he has done alright in his first few at the NHL level, but if they really want to let Fowler grow and they don't have full confidence in Montembeault and in Dobes, they could try and trade for someone, now I'm not sure who they could try and trade for as There was a lot of talk about Jarry recently before he got dealt to Edmonton, There's been some talk about Binnington. There's been some talk about some of those other goalies out there too, Maybe Merzlikins if the Jackets really want to move off of him.

So I'm not sure if the Canadiens would be open to a goalie move right now and if they were open to one, would they do like some sort of a move to have someone else acquire Montembeault, not exactly sure but with the recent recall of Jacob Fowler, it just l brings a lot of speculation as to potentially the Habs making a goalending move which I could definitely see. I don't think it's something that's going to be rather imminent, but if the goalie play doesn't really start to get better in the next couple of weeks, couple of months leading up the trade deadline, I could see the Habs making a move because I think the Montreal Canadiens really want to try and build off of the season they had last year, which was making the playoffs. 

So, I'm not going to say it's a guarantee by any means, but with the play of Montembeault, with the recent play of Jacob Dobes, I could definitely see the Montreal Canadiens make some sort of a goalie move. So, I would have to say keep your eye on that as I personally could see something happen in Montreal’s crease, but I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below and don’t forget to check out my YouTube channel.
