 Devils looking at Marchessault and Stamkos?

Hey everyone in today’s blog post we take a look at the Predators and Devils as a recent article linked the Debils to one of the Predators veteran forwards who they could go after

So back a little while ago David Pagnotta was talking about the New Jersey Devils and Nashville Predators. As he says regarding Jonathan Marchessault and Steven Stamkos, one team he has heard has definitely been checking around the Nashville players and trying to maybe acquire one of those two guys we just mentioned is the New Jersey Devils, now we’ve heard about the New Jersey Devils before with how they could be looking for some sort of a role player but wouldn't be opposed to adding another top six elite level forward talent. 

Now I am not sure the Devils would go after Stamkos because he is a Center and they are pretty good down the middle with guys like Hughes and Hischier, but imagine Stamkos playing on a wing with guys like Hughes, Hischier, Meier or Palat or even a guy like Marchessault with those guys would be a massive upgrade for the New Jersey Devils. Now the Devils are in a very competitive metro division right now and are still currently in a playoff spot after Wednesday’s game action, but it's going to be very close to see how everything pans out. So, we shall wait and see on that as there is no guarantees by any means that the Devils do pull off a deal regarding Stamkos and Marchessault, but these two might be sort of buy low guys because I don't think they have a ton of value right now.

And I think it wouldn't take too much compared to some of these other guys like Kyrou or Forsberg. So I don't think it would take too much to pry a guy like Marchessault or Stamkos out of Nashville and I think the best the Preds could probably get for them right now is like a second round pick and a decent prospect and I think the Devils if they wanted too would be able to do that and would do it in a heartbeat. So we should wait and see on that, but keep an eye on the Devils regarding some of Nashville's forwards as according to David Pagnotta they do have some major interest in both Marcessault and Stamkos, so we should wait and see on that but definitely watch both these teams as they could hook up on a trade and don’t forget to leave a comment below and check out my YouTube Channel.
