Ristolainen to Ottawa?
In today’s blog post I am checking out the Ottawa Senators as according Bruce Garioch, he was recently talking about the Ottawa Senators and says that the Senators are sort of seeing if it makes sense to try and go after a trade target in Philly in Rasmus Ristolainen for their defensive problems to help in the top 4.
Now we've talked about how the Ottawa Senators might be looking for a right shot defensive defenseman and apparently Rasmus Ristolainen according to Bruce Garioch is someone the Senators could try and target, now I personally don't think Ristolainen’s the best fit for Ottawa in my opinion because I think Ristolainen seems like he's a good guy and he fits quite well in the Philadelphia Flyers system and I think Philadelphia and Ristolainen are a really good fit together, but I don't think he'd be the best in Ottawa as I think he'd be more of a third pair guy and Ottawa needs a second pair guy.

So I don't think he would fit overly well with a guy like Thomas Chabot or Jake Sanderson in the top four, so I could see why Ottawa has some interest in Ristolainen as he has turned into a really decent top four defenseman in Philadelphia, but I just don't see the fit, maybe you guys do and i'd love to hear your guys thoughts if you think that's sort of a good fit and what do you think Ottawa would have to give up for Ristolainen, I think it would be like a second round pick and maybe one of their better prospects but I don't think they should probably pony up any more of an asking price than that for Ristolainen as I believe anything more would be a overpayment.
So I don’t know but I'd love to hear your guys thoughts and if you think it makes sense for Ottawa to go after Ristolainen in the offseason as a potential trade target for their hole on the 2nd pair of their defence or if they should try and stay away from Ristolainen so I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
