In today’s blog post we are looking at the New York Rangers as I came across an article today talking about K’Andre Miller and his future as a RFA in the Rangers organization.

Now we have talked about Miller throughout the entire season so far this year as Miller is in the final year of his deal and he's a pending RFA for this offseason with arbitration rights and although he didn't start off overly well, he had some injury troubles and he had a very slow start to the year, but after the Rangers sort of got their defense worked out as they acquired Will Borgen they moved off of Jacob Trouba he started fitting in really well and started to have a much better season then at the beginning.

Now there's no guarantee that the Rangers will make the playoffs this year and there's still a very likely chance that they will change some things up in the offseason after a underwhelming year, so I'm not exactly sure what will happen with him, but there's still some more speculation as to whether the Rangers should trade Miller or should try and keep him, now K’Andre Miller is a really solid top four left shot defenseman and last year showed that he could be a really solid add on the blue line, so I think the one thing that really concerns the Rangers is if they can really sign him without having to go through arbitration because I think he could wind up being walked straight to UFA status and I don't think the Rangers really want that to happen, so I'm not going to say it's a guarantee that he does extend as I think Miller could probably command like a 4-5 year deal with a $5-6 million  cap hit and with the way he's played over the past little while I think that could be a decent contract for the Rangers if they were able to keep him, but I do think that if they were to trade him the Rangers would have to get at least a second round pick and maybe a decent prospect, they could maybe even get a roster player so I'm not exactly sure if the Rangers are going to trade him, I just think that it's still interesting that people are talking about whether the Rangers should keep Kandre Miller or move him.

So we'll have to wait and see and let me know down in the comments if you think that Miller will either stay with the Rangers or if he'll get moved I would like to hear your guys thoughts and we should keep an eye on Miller this offseason as he may be moved but could also extend.
