Maccelli being moved?

 Maccelli on block for Utah?

In today’s blog post we are looking at the Utah Hockey Club as when it comes to Utah, Elliotte Friedman was speculating about some names that he could be looking at over the next week and a half leading up to the trade deadline and he says that Mattias Maccelli might be one to watch out for before the deadline.

Now Friedman says Maccelli has not had an overly great season this year as he's been healthy scratched a few times recently and sort of fallen out of favor in Utah after a pretty good season last year, now I think he is  signed for two or three more seasons at a $3.5 million cap hit, so it wouldn't be an overly huge price tag for a lot of teams to get Maccelli, and he is on the younger side of things and he can produce really well and contribute some secondary scoring and on like a second or third line I feel Maccelli would do quite well with another team.

So we're going to have to wait and see exactly what happens there, but Elliotte Friedman does mention Maccelli as a potential trade candidate for Utah and I personally think there's a possibility with all the younger players that started to come up in Utah that has made Maccelli fall on the depth chart there, I can see why Utah could potentially want to move on from Maccelli and get him a fresh start so we will have to wait and see on that but keep an eye on Maccelli as even though he has term he may be a trade candidate for the Utah team so keep checking on that.
