In today’s blog post we are looking at the Vegas Golden Knights and the Buffalo Sabres as according to a couple of recent reports Vegas has been heavily scouting Buffalo Sabers games as they’ve had at least two of their scouts at Sabers games in the Sabers last five games as of the report I was reading, so it seems that the Golden Knights are heavily scouting the Buffalo Sabers and that led to a lot of people thinking that there could be a trade brewing between these two teams.

Now we've heard a whole bunch of really high level names on the Sabres trade market this year as we've heard about Owen Power, Mattias Samuelsson and potentially Bowen Byam on the defense end, but with the Knights defense unless Shea Theodore is going to be out until the playoffs I don't think they'd be willing to acquire any sort of defenseman, especially one with term, but if you look at their forward group there's a couple of interesting options that the Knights could try and go after like Alex Tuch as Tuch is a former Golden Knight player and having him be dealt back to Vegas could be a really big boost there to the Golden Knights top nine if they can make it work cap wise.

Now there’s also a couple of other interesting options like another interesting option I've heard would be Dylan Cozens as they could definitely use another Center upgrade and they could put Hertl on the wing, so that could be an option there too especially if William Karlsson continues to be injury-prone, so we're going to have to wait and see what happens there, but the Knights have been heavily scouting Sabers games recently and it may not not come to anything, but given how heavily the Knights have been scouting the Sabers recently you got think they are talking at least about a potential trade and the guys that make the most sense will be players up front which would be guy like Greenway who's in the final year of his deal, Cozens who's been in the rumour mill for quite some time or former Golden Knight Alex Tuch.

So we're going to have to wait and see on that, but keep an eye on the Golden Knights and the Sabers as we know the Golden Knights are always in the market for making that big splash at the trade deadline and they've been recently heavily scouting the Buffalo Sabers so we're going to have to wait and see on what comes of this soon.
