Oilers looking to move Evander Kane?
In today’s blog post we look at the Edmonton Oilers as on the Saturday night headline segment recently Elliotte Friedman was talking about Evander Kane and that's a little bit of a surprise because Kane has not played the entire season due to an injury suffered in the off-season.

Now Elliotte Friedman says that recently Evander Kane's full no movement Clause was transferred to a 16 team no trade list so he can be traded to 16 teams without his consent, so the Oilers apparently are going through those 16 teams and trying to create a market for Kane because if they can move Kane, they'll get some extra cap space and cap flexibility to do some other things.
Now they could try and move a guy like Victor Arvidsson as I've seen that mentioned a couple of times, but it seems that they're more intent right now on moving Evander Kane as he has a $5.25 million dollar cap hit for this year and one or two more years and like I said he's coming off an injury, so it would be quite a hard trade to pull off if I'm the Edmonton Oilers, especially given the fact that Kane is coming off of a injury and he hasn't played at all this year, but there might be a couple of teams out there who know what Kane can bring and might try and acquire him even though he's been injured so far this year.
So we're going to have to wait and see on that, but keep your eye on Evander Kane as after his trade protection got cut in half he's a potential trade candidate now for the Edmonton Oilers to move off some cap so keep your eyes on him.
