Kings need scorer and could target Palmieri?
In this blog post we are looking at the Los Angeles Kings as Dennis Bernstein of the fourth period was recently talking about the Kings And he said that they will likely go after two positions most likely before the trade deadline as that is a fourth line Center as well as a scoring Winger and he says that one of the targets that the Kings could have as a scoring Winger could be Islanders Pending UFA forward Kyle Palmieri.

Now Palmieri is entering the final year of his deal and has a $5 million cap hit, so the Islanders are currently I think second last in the Eastern Conference and while they have won a couple of games recently they're still looking like one of the teams who's probably going to be sellers at the deadline and most likely going to miss the playoffs again this year, so with that in mind they could move a couple of their UFA’s such as Brock Nelson and Kyle Palmieri and Palmieri could be a really good fit in the Los Angeles Kings organization, Palmieri has been a decent power play specialist and he can play in the top six, he's actually put up a couple of really good goal scoring seasons in the Islanders organization over the past couple of years, so I think it could be a really good fit there if the Kings slot him on their second or third line, on maybe a line with Byfield or Danault, so I think that could be a really good fit there for the Kings as they already have a decently deep forward group, so if they were to move like maybe a second round pick and a decent Prospect because they have a lot of prospects, I think using a second round pick and a decent Prospect to get Palmieri I think Islanders would jump on that opportunity.
So we're going to have to wait and see if this is something that does wind up coming to fruition or not, but Dennis Bernstein definitely thinks that the Kings will go after a scoring Winger as well as a fourth line center before the trade deadline and if they do. he definitely thinks that Palmieri would be a very likely trade candidate for the Kings so we are going to wait and see on that, but do expect the Kings to potentially be in the market for Kyle Palmieri should Palmieri be available at the trade deadline so we will definitely keep our eye on that.
