Are the Kraken seriously considering moving McCann?
In the blog post we are looking at Jared McCann in Seattle, is he available, now there's a couple of recent reports I saw over on Twitter saying that McCann had been made available by the Kraken and that they'd be open to moving him, since then Elliotte Friedman touched on that in his recent podcast and he said that's not true and he said that the reason McCann has been in the trade rumour mill right now is because teams are checking in on McCann and asking Seattle for the trade availability of McCann and not vice versa and that McCann’s not being shopped by Seattle.

So it's sort of like teams are picking up the phone and asking Seattle if McCann’s available and Seattle’s saying no you need to give us a really high asking price, now McCann is signed for I think three or four more years at $5 million, a really cheap ask given what he brings as he's a former 40 goal scorer and he's worked out fantastically since the Kraken drafted him the expansion draft, been basically their star player from the expansion draft, so if they were to move him they would have to get a Monumental return, I'm thinking like a first round pick, solid roster player and a top prospect for McCann and I'm not sure if any teams would really want to pony up that sort of an asking price.
So I think it's more than likely McCann will stay as personally in my opinion I think McCann will stay in Seattle, but with the recent speculations about him potentially being moved it's a possibility and he's a guy who can play center and we know there's not an overabundance of centers right now to be potentially being dealt before the deadline, so if a couple of those centers maybe like a Brock Nelson signs an extension or like a Trevor Zegras doesn't wind up getting moved, maybe teams turn to McCann as a Center they could Target and maybe they will overpay to try and acquire him so we're going to have to wait and see on that, I personally do not think McCann will get moved as he's been the star player in Seattle ever since they drafted him, so I don't see him getting moved but it's a possibility with the amount of rumours we've seen recently so we're going have to keep our eye on McCann as a potential trade candidate.
