Predators teardown coming?

Nashville Predators about to began a teardown.

Today we are looking at the Nashville Predators as Matt Larkin of daily faceoff was recently talking about the Preds in a article and said there's a very likely chance that if this Nashville Predators season does not turn around in early January, then the Nashville Predators could go on a full tear down and there's a very likely shot of it happening with where the Predators are.

We recently saw the Predators open their selling doors by moving on from Alex Carrier to Montreal and that might just be the start of the tear down, now according to Larkin he thinks that Nyquist is a very no-brainer move given he's in the final year of his deal and he's making $3.1 million, there's a very likely chance that a lot of teams who are looking for some middle six help and for a scoring forward could definitely look to Nyquist as a potential trade option (especially if the Preds retained salary) so there's a very likely chance Nyquist probably doesn't survive the trade deadline in Nashville, so we'll have to wait and see on that.

When it comes to other potential options there for the Predators as who could they move, more guys they could potentially move would be guys like Luke Schenn and Jeremy Lauzon as both are hard-hitting playoff style defenseman who could be really good value adds and are still signed through next season and could help teams for 2 playoff runs, so there's a very likely chance that a couple of teams could try and check in on them, Colton Sissons who's also been a  longtime Nashville Predator would be  another potential trade option they could also move as he has a few years left on his deal and is a solid bottom six forward that teams would love to have, so he could be another possibility.

Then they could consider at least moving Ryan O'Reilly and Thomas Novak, O'Reilly and Novak I think both have two years left on the Ru deals after this one, O'Reilly at $4.5 million cap hit and Novak at $3 million, O'Reilly's a really good veteran who knows what it takes to win the Stanley Cup and Novak's a fantastic second or third line goal scorer, so we're going to have to wait and see what happens and how far the Predators are willing to go when it comes to a potential rebuild or sort of a sell off, but we will have to wait and see on what happens there, but Nashville is bottom 3 in the NHL and I think they’re were the last team to reach the double digit win mark, every other NHL team had hit double digit wins mark before the  Predators, so there's a very likely chance that we see Nashville make some sort of move in the not too distant future and I think there's a very good chance we could see many moves happen for the Predators before the March 7th 2025 trade deadline so we're going to have to wait and see what happens and how many pieces Nashville will move in the next few months.
