Next Ranger to be dealt is Miller.
So today we are looking at the New York Rangers as David Pagnotta of the fourth period .com was talking about them recently in a article and we know we recently just saw Kappo Kakko get traded by the New York Rangers to the Kraken and that might be the first of many moves NYR makes before the 2025 trade deadline, and they might try and go into this offseason and try and reshape this roster, well Pagnotta thinks that after they traded Kakko the next player that's going to be potentially dealt is K’Andre Miller.

K’Andre Miller is a solid top four left shot defenseman for the New York Rangers but just like Kakko he's in the final year of his deal and he's an RFA with arb rights at the end of the deal so a contract extension in the offseason might get complicated if he has ARB rights and he is only a year or two away from UFA status and he could be walked right into free agency, so with that in mind there's some people out there think there is a possibility that with Miller not having the best of starts to the season that the Rangers may try and trade him now when his value is still pretty high.
They could probably get a lot better of a return for Miller than they could for Kappo Kakko who has never really been a very fantastic forward, whereas Miller has actually had a pretty good couple of years before this one, I mean this year like we said he's had a slow start and he hasn't looked the best but then again so have the Rangers, I mean the whole Rangers team hasn't looked overly great but Miller is a young player and if he is willing to sign like a 5 to 6 year deal at like 5 to $6 million AAV,I think that would be a steal for a couple of teams who could use a exciting and young top 4 D, so I'm sure the Rangers would really want to keep him as he is a solid top four left shot defender, but they may not be able to afford him so they may try and get something in return by dealing him at some point.
So it'll be interesting to find out what happens, but Pagnotta definitely thinks that Miller might be one of the next players to go in New York, now he is currently on IR right as he's got a upper body injury so like I said I don't think it's something that happens soon but I do think this is something that's going to be discussed closer to the trade deadline and maybe in the offseason, so if the Rangers really don't see a fit with Miller long term or if they think that he'll have some sort of contract negotiation problems in the offseason, I think there is a possibility out there that they could triade K’Andre Miller so we will have to wait and see on that but look for the Rangers to potentially deal K’Andre Miller in the not too distant future after they recently just dealt Kaapo Kakko a few weeks back.
