We have another Avalanche Trade

 Another NHL Trade

Minnesota            Colorado

Tyson Jost                             Nico Sturm

Analysis: in a swap of bottom six forwards between arch rivals their are a couple of fresh starts. The Wild got Tyson Jost in this trade and I really like the fir for him, he in my opinion should play as a third line Center maybe Centring the line with Boldy and Fiala for this year but he is a younger player then Sturm was and more expensive as he is  2 years younger at 24 years old and caries a $2 Million dollar cap hit where as Sturm has $725 Thousand on his cap. So with Jost he is signed for this year and next and has been relatively productive as he has had 6 goals and 14 points in 59 games and I do believe he will fit in a bottom six role over the next few years and could be a longer term forward for the Wild. And the with Colorado this is their second trade in as many days and they get a more physical forward in Sturm and he has put up similar stats this year to Jost having 9 goals and 17 points in 53 games and he in my opinion would be the Avalanche’s fourth line forward which would be basically the same spot as Jost had. And I feel this was a cap move deal by Colorado as they were able to gain $1.3 Million in Cap space and even though they dealt the forever 2016 1RD pick they still get a capable fourth line forward and get more cap space to go after a big name.
