Trade Toronto and Arizona

 Big NHL TRADE

To Toronto Ryan Dzingel (1Y $1.1 Million), Ilya Lybushkin (1Y $1.35 Million)

To Arizona Nick Ritchie (2Y $2.5 Million), CON 2RD Pick 2025

Analysis: The Coyotes were able to get yet another daft pick by getting rid of players in the final year of their deal and taking on another teams bad contract. Toronto acquired two players first they got Dzingel who will be a good bottom 6 forward for the Maple Leafs and should play on their third or fourth line. He only has this year left on his deal at $1.1 Million and has had (4G-3A-7P) in 26 Games Played this year for Arizona and because he is on a one year deal and will be a UFA at years end there is no risk for Toronto. Lybushkin is exactly what the Maple Leafs wanted which was a physical right shot defensemen who can play a similar style of game to Muzzin and could for the time being play with him. He has only this season left on his deal at $1.35 Million and has had 9 assists in 46 Games Played and i believe he will play along side Muzzin for right now and maybe the rest of the year even though i would probably think of him as a 3rd pairing defensemen. for Arizona they take on the bad contract of Nick Ritchie. Ritchie was signed this past offseason to play in the Maple Leafs top 6 and he did for a bit but it  didn’t work out as he had (2G-7A-9P) in 33 games then fell out of the lineup was placed on waivers and sent to the AHL but he has a chance to be a NHL player again in Arizona especially after trading away Dzingel I do believe he will fit in their bottom six and not just this year as he has 2 years left at $2.5 Million and is there for a while. And Arizona also got a conditional pick and the Maple Leafs gave Arizona the choice of choosing their 2rd pick in 2025 or if they feel like they don’t need to many picks in 2025 then they have the option of having Toronto’s 2023 3rd and this will be the choice they make to add a draft pick to a already stock pilled cupboard, and here is the deal Toronto gets two depth pieces on expiring deals and Arizona gets a pick for taking on another bad contract.
