Detroit 6 Philadelphia 3 Final

Detroit comes out of their mini break brimming with confidence as they easily land the blowout punch on Philadelphia and gain on Boston for the last Wildcard spot. Robbi Fabbri (13), Lucas Raymond (12), Dylan Larkin (24) and Pius Suter (11) all had a goal and a assists, Moritz Seider had 2 assists, and Givani Smith (4) and Vladislav Namestnikov (13) both also scored and Alex Nedeljkovic made 21 saves on 24 shots in the win. Dylan Larkin (4G-4A-8P) now has a four game point streak. Detroit has a point in eight of their last thirteen games, and are 21-21-6 for 48 points and are 7 points back of a playoff spot. Both teams had lineup changes for Detroit Givani Smith replaced Gemel Smith, and for Philadelphia Derick Brassard and Nick Seeler replaced Morgan Frost and Cam York. Nick Seeler had 2 assists, and Travis Sanheim (3), Isaac Ratcliffe who scored his first NHL goal  (1), and Scott Laughton (8) all also scored, while Carter Hart made 28 saves on 33 shots and Detroit added a EN goal in the loss. Edmonton starts back is rocky as they lose the second half of their back to back awfully to the lowly Blackhawks which says a lot about Edmonton. Alex DeBrincat had a goal (27) and 2 assists, and Dylan Strome (8), Brandon Hagel (13) and Kirby Dach (7) all had a goal and a assist, while Marc Andre Fleury made 40 saves on 41 shots in the win. Chicago ended their three game losing streak, and are 17-23-7 for 41 points and are 13 points back of a playoff spot. Chicago has the only lineup changes as Josiah Slavin, Caleb Jones and Jakub Galvas replaced Brett Connolly, Erik Gustafsson, and Wyatt Kalynuk. Leon Draisaitl (32) was the lone goal scorer while Mike Smith made 26 saves on 30 shots in the loss. Edmonton has lost three of their last four games, and are 23-18-3 for 49 points and are 5 points back of a playoff spot.

Dallas has three one goal leads and broke a three all tie in the third period to beat the rival Predators and keep pace in the West race. Jason Robertson scores twice (18 and 19), Roope Hintz had a goal (21) and a assist, John Klingberg had 2 assists, while Luke Glendening (7) also scored for the Stars. Jake Oettinger made 20 saves on 23 shots in the win. Dallas was 2/6 on the power play, and also had 22 hits and 27 shots and have won six of their last eight games, and are 24-18-2 for 50 points and are 4 points back of a playoff spot. Both teams had lineup changes for Dallas Michael Raffl, Joel Kiviranta and Holtby who was backup replaced Riley Damiani, Tanner Kero and Anton Khudobin, while for Nashville Ben Harpur replaced Mark Borowiecki. Calgary 6 Vegas 0 Final

Calgary came out on Fire as they scored three first period goals and didn’t look back as they beat Vegas and remained in a playoff spot. Mikael Backlund had a goal (7) and 3 assists for a four point night, Matthew Tkachuk had a goal (21) and 2 assists, Andrew Mangiapane scored twice (21 and 22), Noah Hanafin had 2 assists, while Johnny Gaudreau (19) and Elias Lindholm (16) both also  scorerd for the Flames. Jacob Markstrom stoped all 28 shots he faced in the win and the shutout which was his eighth shutout of the season. Elias Lindholm (2G-3A-5P) and Johnny Gaudreau (3G-1A-4P) both now have four game point streaks. Calgary was 1/2 on the power play, and also had 16 hits and 33 shots and are on a four game winning streak, and are 24-13-6 for 54 points and are in the 2nd Wildcard position. Vegas had the only lineup change as Nolan Patrick replaced Mark Stone. Vegas was shutout for the third time this season. Robin Lehner made 27 saves on 33 shots in the loss. Arizona 5 Seattle 2 Final 

Arizona suprised the Kraken with a solid game scoring twice early and hanging on for dear life as they fended off the Kraken and got back in the win column. Nick Schmaltz scored twice (6 and 7), Phil Kessel (6) and Alex Galchenyuk (3) both had a goal and a assist, Anton Stralman (3) also scored, while Karel Vejmelka made 34 saves on 36 shots in the win. Arizona won for only the second time in their last nine games, and are 12-31-4 for 28 points and are 26 points back of a playoff spot. Both teams had lineup changes for Arizona Liam O’Brien replaced Riley Nash, and for Seattle Will Borgen replaced Cale Fleury. Yanni Gourde had 2 assists, while Colin Blackwell (5) and Calle Jarnkrok (8) both also scored and Philipp Grubauer made 22 saves on 25 shots in the loss. Seattle has lost four of their last six games, and are 15-28-4 for 34 points and are 20 points back of a playoff spot.

New York I came out fast scoring 5 times in the first period and never letting Vancouver catch their breath as they move up the standings towards a playoff spot. Anders Lee (12) and Casey Cizikas (4) both had a goal and a assist, Cal Clutterbuck had 2 assists, and Zach Parise (4), Brock Nelson (15), Matthew Barzal (11) and Matt Martin (2) all also scored, while Ilya Sorokin made 34 saves on 37 shots in the win. New York I had won nine of their last fifteen games and are 17-17-6 for 40 points and are 15 points back of a playoff spot. Both teams had lineup changes for New York I Ross Johnston replaced Kyle Palmeri and for Vancouver Justin Dowling replaced Jason Dickinson.
