The Senators get to the halfway mark with a great win that gets them out of the bottom of the league. Nick Paul (9) and Connor Brown (6) both had a goal and a assist, while Nick Holden (3) and Adam Gaudette (4) both also scored for the Senators. Matt Murray made 32 saves on 33 shots in the win. Ottawa didn’t have a power play in this game, and also had 44 hits and 24 shots and have a point in six of their last eight games, and Ottawa is 15-22-4 for 34 points and are 21 points back of a playoff spot. Both teams had lineup changes for Ottawa Connor Brown, Dylan Gambrell and Nikita Zaitsev replaced Egor Sokolov, Clark Bishop and Victor Mete, while for New Jersey Michael McLeod and Nico Daws who started replaced Jack Hughes and Akira Schmid. Nico Hischier (9) was the lone goal scorer for the Devils. Nico Daws made 20 saves on 24 shots in the loss. New Jersey was 1/1 on the power play, and also had 28 hits and 33 shots and are on a seven game losing streak, and New Jersey is 15-26-5 for 35 points and are 20 points back of a playoff spot.

Toronto 4 Carolina 3 Final/OT
Another great game from Marner as he ties the game late and gets the OT winner as Toronto gets the win and closes in on the Florida teams. Mitch Marner scores twice (15 and 16) and added a assist, Auston Matthews scored twice (30 and 31), while John Tavares and Morgan Reilly both added 2 assists for the Maple Leafs. Petr Mrazek made 28 saves 31 shots in the win. Mitch Marner (10G-9A-19P) extends his point streak to eight games, while Auston Matthews (6G-6A-12P) extends his point streak to five games. Toronto was 1/4 on the power play, and also had 18 hits and 32 shots and are on a six game winning streak, and Toronto is 30-10-3 for 63 points and is 3rd in the Atlantic. Carolina had the only lineup changes as Josh Leivo and Brendan Smith replaced Jesperi Kotkaniemi and Ethan Bear. Tony DeAngelo has a goal (8) and a assist, while Derek Stepan (7) and Nino Niederriter (14) both also scored for the Hurricanes. Frederik Andersen made 28 saves on 32 shots in the OT loss. Carolina was 0/1 on the power play, and also had 25 hits and 31 shots and had their four game winning streak ended but now have a five game point streak, and Carolina is 31-9-3 for 65 points and are 1st in the Metro.
