Detroit to move on from UFA’s and Vancouver to snatch top prospect from Boston

 NHL trade rumours

Florida needs a top 4 Defensemen

According to multiple sources the Panthers are going to look for a solid top 4 defensemen before the trade deadline. Now they have been linked to all of the big trade chipped defensemen with the biggest ones being Klingberg and Chychrun. Now I know that they are all in this year but I think that they should go after a left side defensemen because they have three good right shot defensemen and Weegar who is playing on the left side is right handed and given these facts I do believe they will trade for a left side defensemen so that does rule out Klingberg in my opinion but I would think that they stand a good chance of being the team to acquire Chychrun because they are willing to part with a guy like Owen Tippett and i do believe that they will try their hardest to get him but if the price is just to high I could see them ho and nab ether Giordano from Seattle or Chiarot from Montreal and I do believe that they easily have enough assets to bring ether of those pending UFA’s in but those two would be plan B’s in my opinion.

What should Detroit do before the deadline

As the Trade Deadline approaches I will be talking about what I think the Red Wings should do leading up to the trade deadline. The Red Wings are the team who I could see giving chase to the Bruins for the last wild card spot in the East right now as they do have a decent 30-21-6 record this year but given the Disparity between them and a playoff spot I think they are more likely to compete for a playoff spot next season. Now with them almost out of their rebuild what sort of moves should they consider before the Deadline. I think they should keep it simple this season and only trade their pending UFA’s. They’re list of UFA’s includes forward Namestnikov who is having a pretty decent season and if they haven’t come to terms on a extension by the deadline (which I could also see happening) then I would trade him and get a 3rd or 4th round pick back and I would say the same for Thomas Greiss who has done a alright job as the backup this year and any team looking for goalie depth should call Detroit. Now there are 3 defensemen who could bring in a medium to low draft pick and those are Marc Staal who has a NMC but could be a depth piece on a contender as well as Troy Stecher and Danny Dekeyser who are both serviceable 3rd pair D-Men and i would think would definitely draw interest. But there biggest trade chip in my opinion is Nick Leddy, he has a $5.5 Million dollar cap hit but is a proven playoff player who can play top 4 minutes and is Detroit looked hard enough could get back the 2RD pick they gave up for him but that would be my guess as I think they should just sell all their UFA’s this year.

Would the Rangers consider moving a blue chip prospect

The Rangers have basically been rumoured to be interested in any player who is a viable option to upgrade their blue line or top six forward group, but high priced players don’t come cheap and the Rangers might be forced to move on from one of their top prospects or top draft picks in this years draft. Now they have a pretty good defense corp right now and I would think they would definitely consider moving a top defensive prospect, currently they have Braden Schneider up with the team but they have also had up in the NHL this year Nils Lundkvist and they can’t have both defenceman on the third pairing because they’re two top right side defensemen aren’t going anywhere for a long time so I do think they should definitely consider moving one of Lundqvist or Schneider and if they don’t feel comfortable with moving either of those two there’s also Zach Jones who is another top prospect in the Rangers organization maybe not as good as the other two but definitely would draw interest from other teams. In Conclusion if the Rangers could get a top six forward or a third pairing veteran defenceman with experience in a trade this year I could definitely consider them trading one of Nils Lundkvist or Braden Schneider and on top of that I would definitely consider moving the first round pick if I was the Rangers and they have two second round picks in this upcoming draft so if they moved one of them I don’t think they would sweat too much but I could definitely see them giving up some of their future this year to fuel  this playoff push they are having right now.

Dallas shouldn’t trade Pavelski.

Recently there’s been a lot of rumours about the Dallas Stars moving star forward Joe Pavelski. Now given his production with the Dallas Stars and how well he has fits in his three-year tenure with Dallas on the top line with Roope Hintz and Jason Robertson and given the fact that the Stars are not a very offensive team in my opinion I don’t think they should move him even if they’re on the outside looking in come trade deadline day or leading up to the trade deadline I do really think they should hold onto him and given his point production risk losing him in for agency and maybe move one of their other pending free agents like Klingberg or Radulov but I really don’t think that they should trade him just given his placement on the team how much is producing and how valuable he could be if this team went on a run after the deadline and wound up making the playoffs I think they would really like a player like Pavelski and who knows maybe there’s an extension involved later but for now in my opinion just keep him, maybe extend him after this year but DO NOT TRADE Pavelski.

Lysell a key point in a Boston-Vancouver trade

Apparently recent reports have stated that the Bruins top prospect is drawing interest from Vancouver. The Canucks and Bruins are arch rivals and both hate each other’s guts but they could wind up making great trade partners. The Bruins are looking for a forward who can play center or at least a top six forward who can help with this years playoff run and they have been linked multiple times to the Canucks forwards Conor Garland and J.T Miller. Miller can play at the Center position which would be the Bruins preference but they were linked to Garland as far back as last year so they could definitely be interested in the Canucks forwards but the word is if they want to get a deal done then they may need to part with recent first round pick Fabian Lysell. Lysell was the 21st overall pick in the past years draft and is playing at a high level in the WHL right now and the Canucks really do like him so if the Bruins really wanted to get a forward from the Canucks they would have to be okay in my opinion with trading Lysell because I could definitely see the fit long term in Vancouver for Lysell maybe playing with Pettersson so while I do think that there is a fit and they could look into it I’m just not sure how desperate the Bruins are to acquire that forward.
