Arizona was able to overcome being down 1-0 after 1 period and scored four consecutive goals to get the win and the worst team in the West is finally getting momentum. Lawson Crouse had a goal (10) and a assist, Louis Eriksson had 2 assists, while Dysin Mayo (3), Travis Boyd (10) and Johan Larsson (6) all also scored for the Coyotes. Karel Vejmelka made 35 saves on 36 shots in the win and has won three of his last four games as starter. Arizona was 0/2 on the power play, and also had 24 hits and 17 shots and and have a point in four of their last five games, and Arizona is 10-24-4 for 24 points and is 20 points back of a playoff spot. Adam Fox scored twice (6 and 7) and added a assist, Ryan Reaves scored twice (1 and 2), Ryan Strome had a goal (9) and a assist, Jacob Trouba, Artemi Panarin and Mika Zibanejad all had 2 assists, while Chris Kreider (25) also scored for the Rangers. Igor Shesterkin made 35 saves on 38 shots in the win and has won five consecutive games as starter. Mika Zibanejad (3G-4A-7P) extends his point streak to six games. New York R was 0/2 on the power play, and also had 31 hits and 27 shots and are on a three game winning streak and have won seven of their last nine games, and New York R is 26-10-4 for 56 points and is 1st in the Metro. Both teams had lineup changes for New York R Barclay Goodrow and Alexis Lafreniere replaced Morgan Barron and Tim Gettinger while for Toronto Alex Biega replaced Jake Muzzin. In a really tightly contested game that was scoreless for most the Avalanche got the first goal and held on for the win as they extend their lead for top spot in the Central. Nazem Kadri had a goal (15) and a assist, while Sam Girard (4) also scored for the Avalanche. Pavel Francouz stoped all 34 shots he faced in the win and the shutout which was his first shutout of the season. Gabriel Landeskog’s sixteen game point streak and Cale Makar’s six game point streak both ended, while Andre Burakovsky (2G-6A-8P) extends his point streak to six games.
