Pittsburgh 3 Buffalo 2 Final/OT

The Penguins were able to get a 2-0 lead but gave up two goals as Buffalo sent it to OT before Pittsburgh recovered to win the goal in OT. Kris Letang has 2 assists, while Brock McGinn (8), Evan Rodrigues (10) and Jeff Carter (9) were the three goal scorers for the Penguins. Tristan Jarry made 19 saves on 21 shots in the win and has won four consecutive games as starter. Pittsburgh was 1/4 on the power play, and also had 28 hits and 48 shots and they are now on a six game winning streak. Both teams had lineup changes for Pittsburgh Sam Lafferty replaced injured Brian Boyle and for Buffalo Casey Fitzgerald replaced Will Butcher who has a illness. Zemgus Girgensons (6) and Rasmus Dahlin (6) were the two goal scorers for the Sabres. Malcom Subban made 45 saves on 48 shots in the loss and has lost both games he’s started this season. Vegas 3 New York R 2 Final/SO

After Vegas gave up two second period goal’s to the Rangers the Golden Knights got a late game tying goal and the Shootout winner to extended their winning streak. Brett Howden has a goal (3) and a assist, Dylan Coghlan (3) also scored in regulation, while Jonathan Marchessault was the lone goal scorer in the shootout for the Golden Knights. Laurent Brossoit made 27 saves on 29 shots in the win and has won four of his last five games as starter. Alex Pietrangelo had his five game point streak ended. Vegas was 0/1 on the power play, and also had 12 hits and 30 shots and are now on a four game winning streak and have won seven of their last eight games. Both teams had lineup changes for Vegas Shea Theodore who is now healthy replaced Ben Hutton and for New York R Filip Chytil replaced injured Artemi Panarin. Mika Zibanejad (7) and Chris Kreider (18) both had a goal and a assist for the Rangers. Alex Georgiev made 28 saves on 30 shots in the SO loss and has lost three consecutive games as starter. The Blues score the first two and last two goals of the game and powered by a two goal performance by Vladimir Tarasenko the Blues win both sides of the home and home with Dallas. Washington 5 Winnipeg 2 Final

The Capitals scored the first two goals of the game before the Jets tied it up early in the third but Washington would end the game with three unanswered goals to defeat Winnipeg. Brett Leason (3), Daniel Sprong (5) and Michael Sgarbossa (2) all had a goal and assist, while Conor Sheary (7) and Alex Ovechkin (22) both also scored for the Capitals. Vitek Vanecek made 40 saves on 42 shots in the win. Alex Ovechkin (3G-7A-10P) extends his point streak to seven games, while Conor Sheary (2G-3A-5P) now has a four game point streak. Nashville gave up two one goal leads before getting the OT winner from Tanner Jeannot as the hugely short handed Predators due to COVID beat Chicago. Thomas Novak who scored his first NHL goal (1), Colton Sissons (4) and Tanner Jeannot (8) were the three goal scorers for the Predators. Juuse Saros made 17 saves on 19 shots in the win and has won five consecutive games as starter. Filip Forsberg (2G-4A-6P) now has a four game point streak. Nashville was 2/5 on the power play, and also had 36 hits and 31 shots and are now on a seven game winning streak. Both teams had lineup changes for Nashville Kole Sherwood replaced Mark Borowiecki who was placed in the COVID protocol, while for Chicago Kurtis Gabriel who made his season and Blackhawks debut as well as Erik Gustafsson replaced Brett Connolly and injured Calvin De Haan. Kirby Dach (5) and Jonathan Toews (3) were the two goal scorers for the Blackhawks. Arizona came back from down 3-1 and Anaheim ties the game late in the third at 5 all, but Keller scored his second goal of the game in OT to give Arizona the win. Clayton Keller scores twice (8 and 9) and added a assist, Travis Boyd had a goal (7) and 2 assists, Phil Kessel had a goal (5) and a assist, Nick Schmaltz had 2 assists, while Andrew Ladd (4) and Christian Fischer (3) both also scored for the Coyotes. Scott Wedgewood made 32 saves on 37 shots in the win and won a game as starter for the first time in his last seven starts. Arizona was 1/4 on the power play, and also had 20 hits and 27 shots and ended their six game losing streak. Both teams teams had lineup changes for Arizona Blake Speers who made his season debut and a now healthy Johan Larsson replaces Alex Galchenyuk and Lawson Crouse who are both placed in the COVID protocol, while for Anaheim a now healthy Max Comtois and John Gibson who is now also healthy and was starter replaced Buddy Robinson and Lucas Dostal.
