Chicago 5 Washington 4 Final/OT

After Washington opened the scoring Chicago would score 3 consecutive goals only to give up 3-1 and 4-3 leads but ended up with a OT victory. Alex DeBrincat scored twice (15 and 16), Caleb Jones had a goal (1) and a assist, Kirby Dach, Patrick Kane and Brandon Hagel all had two assists, while Philip Kurashev (1) and Mackenzie Entwistle (3) both also scored for the Blackhawks. Marc Andre Fleury made 42 saves on 46 shots in the win and has won four of his last five games as starter. Chicago was 3/6 on the power play, and also had 20 hits and 28 shots and have alternated wins and losses over the last twelve games. Both teams had lineup changes for Chicago Brett Connolly, Mackenzie Entwistle and a now healthy Caleb Jones replaced injured forwards Henrik Borgstrom and Reese Johnson as well as Erik Gustafsson, while for Washington a now healthy Nicklas Backstrom as well as Nic Dowd and Trevor Van Reimsdyk who were activated off of the COVID list replaced Evgeny Kuznetsov who was placed in the COVID protocol, Brett Leason and Matt Irwin. New York R 3 Arizona 2 Final

The Rangers found themselves down to the lowly Coyotes before scoring twice lay in the third with Kakko’s second of the night the game winner as the Rangers rally past Arizona. Chris Kreider had a 3 assist night, Kaapo Kakko scores twice (4 and 5), while Mika Zibanejad added a goal (6) and a assist for the Rangers. Keith Kinkaid made 29 saves on 31 shots in the win and started for the first time since MAY 8th 2021. New York R was 2/3 on the power play, and also had 27 hits and 30 shots and have won nine of their last twelve games. Both teams had lineup changes for New York R Gregg McKegg replaced Filip Chytil and for Arizona Liam O’Brien and Janis Moser who was a 2RD pick this past draft (#60) and stunningly made his NHL debut replaced injured Jay Beagle and Kyle Capobianco. Clayton Keller had a goal (7) and a assist, while Loui Eriksson (1) also scored for the Coyotes. Scott Wedgewood 27 saves on 30 shots in the loss and has lost six consecutive games as starter. Arizona was 0/2 on the power play, and also had 29 hits  and 31 shots and are on a six game losing streak and have lost eight of their last nine games.

Anaheim 4 Seattle 1 Final

The Ducks jumped out to a three goal lead in the game just 22 minutes in and would added a insurance marker later on as the Ducks win and improve their lead on the pacific division. Trevor Zegras (7), Derek Grant (2), Troy Terry (18) and Sam Carrick (6) were the four goal scorers today for the Ducks. Anthony Stolarz made 19 saves on 20 shots in the win and has won six consecutive games as starter.  Anaheim was 1/2 on the power play, and also a had 25 hits and 24 shots and have won four of their last five games. Seattle had the only lineup changes as Will Borgen and Haydn Fleury replaced Carson Soucy and Jeremy Lauzon. Ryan Donato (7) was the lone goal scorer for the Kraken. Philipp Grubauer let in 3 goals on 18 shots before being replaced by Chris Driedger who made 5 saves on 6 shots in the loss and in relief. Seattle was 1/4 on the power play, and also had 22 hits and 20 shots and have lost five of their last seven games.
