New York R 2 Buffalo 1 Final 

A first period PPG opened the scoring for NYR and a second period insurance marker gives the Rangers another win. Adam Fox had 2 assists, while Mika Zibanejad (5) and Alexis Lafreniere (6) were the two goal scorers for the Rangers. Alex Georgiev made 36 saves on 37 shots in the win and has won three consecutive games as starter. Artemi Panatin (3G-6A-9P) now has a four game point streak. After New Jersey scores the opener Nashville was able to scored threee unanswered goals to give them what would be the winner as they send New Jersey to yet another loss. Roman Josi had a goal (9) and a assist, while Eeli Tolvanen (5) and Yakov Trenin (5) both also scored for the Predators. Juuse Saros made 29 saves on 31 shots in the win and has won four of his last five games and made his return from injury today. A combined team effort that saw Colorado score the first three goals and after Detroit made it 3-2 the Avs made it 6-2 and were able to smoke Detroit in a game where only four players didn’t have a point. Devon Toews had 3 assists, Andre Burakovsky scored twice (8 and 9), Cale Makar had a goal (12) and a assist, while Samuel Girard (3), Nathan Mackinnon (3), Darren Helm (4) and J.T Compher (6) all also scored for the Avalanche. Darcy Kuemper made 37 saves on 40 shots in the win and has won seven of his last eight starts. Gabriel Landeskog (3G-10A-13P) extends his point streak to ten games, Nathan Mackinnon (2G-7A-9P) extends his point streak to six games, Devon Toews (1G-9A-10P) extends his point streak to five games, while Alex Newhook (3G-2A-5P) and Cale Makar (3G-2A-5P) both now have four game point streaks. Vancouver had three one goal leads and Winnipeg tied the game three times but Pettersson’s shutout goal gives Vancouver their first win streak in a long time. Nils Hoglander scored twice (6 and 7), Bo Horvat had 2 assists, Conor Garland also scored (9) in regulation, while Elias Pettersson scored the lone shootout goal for the Canucks. Thatcher Demko made 34 saves on 37 shots in the win and has won three consecutive games as starter and won five of his last six starts. Vancouver had the only lineup change as Brad Hunt replaces injured Travis Hamonic. In what was a very tight game as the score was 2-2 through the second the Flyers scored twice in the third and helped a late Vegas comeback to end their losing streak and get their first win with their new coach. Keith Yandle had 2 assists, while Kevin Hayes (2), Max Willman who scored his first NHL goal (1), Sean Couturier (6) and James Van Reimsdyk (3) were all the goal scorers for the Flyers. Both teams had lineup changes for Philadelphia Max Willman and Kevin Connauton who made his Flyers debut replaced injured Derrick Brassard and Nick Seeler, while for Vegas Adam Brooks and Ben Hutton replaced Chandler Stephenson who was out for personal reasons and Dylan Coghlan.
