Winnipeg 5 Chicago 1 Final
The Jets get a three point night from Andrew Copp to help Winnipeg down rival Chicago and give Winnipeg there best start through ten games ever. Andrew Copp had 3 assists, Nikolai Ehlers (3) and Kyle Connor (8) both had a goal and assist, while Dominic Toninato (1), Neal Pionk (1) and Paul Stastny (4) all also scored for the Jets. Eric Comrie made 17 saves on 18 shots in the win. Pierre Luc Dubois had his eight game point streak end. Winnipeg was 1/3 on the power play, and also had 24 hits and 33 shots and extended their point streak to eight games. Edmonton fights back from down 4-1 in the second to tie the game at five before Draisaitl wins it in OT for Edmonton. Tyson Barrie (2), Connor McDavid (8) and Leon Draisaitl (10) all had a goal and 2 assists, Darnell Nurse had 3 assists, Jesse Puljujarvi scored twice (4 and 5), while Zach Hyman (7) also scored for the Oilers. Mikko Koskinen 20 saves on 25 shots in the win. Connor McDavid (8G-14A-22P) has a ten game point streak, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins (0G-14A-14P) has a nine game point streak and Leon Draisaitl (8G-7A-15P) has a six game point streak. Each team had lineup changes for Los Angeles a healthy Andreas Athanasiou replaced injured Lias Andersson and for New Jersey Alex Holtz who made his NHL debut and Mason Geertsen replaced Marian Studenic and injured Dougie Hamilton. Jesper Bratt had a goal (2) and a assist, while Pavel Zacha (5) also scored for the Devils. Mackenzie Blackwood made 26 saves on 29 shots in the OT loss and his first start of the season. New Jersey was 0/4 on the power play, and also had 26 hits and 23 shots and are on a three game losing streak.
