Detroit 3 Washington 2 Final/OT

Detroit came back from down 2-0 to stun Washington and defeat them in overtime as Washington extends their point streak. Adam Erne had a goal (2) and a assist, while Robbi Fabbri (2) and Dylan Larkin (3) also scored for the Red Wings. Thomas Greiss made 26 saves on 28 shots in the win. Detroit was 0/2 on the power play, and also had 12 hits and 25 shots. Each team had lineup changes for Detroit Givani Smith and Filip Hronek replaced Carter Rowney and Gustav Lindstrom while for Washington a healthy Nic Dowd replaced Daniel Sprong. Alex Ovechkin (8) and Evgeny Kuznetsov (5) each scored for the Capitals. Vitek Vanecek made 22 saves on 25 shots in the OT loss. Tom Wilson’s five game point streak ended but Alex Ovechkin (8G-5A-13P) extended his point streak to seven games. The Panthers scored 4 straight and Bobrovsky stood tall as Florida wins again downing Boston. Toronto continues a trend today of comeback OT wins as they win after being down 2-0 and keep Chicago winless. William Nylander (3), John Tavares (2), and David Kampf (1) all scored for the Maple Leafs. Jack Campbell made 27 saves on 29 shots in the win. Toronto was 0/3 on the power play, and also had 32 hits and 40 shots and ended their four game losing streak. Chicago had the only lineup changes as Mike Hardman and Mackenzie Entwistle replaced Henrik Borgstrom and Dylan Strome. Kirby Dach (3) and Alex DeBrincat (3) both scored for the Blackhawks. Kevin Lankinen made 37 saves on 40 shots in the OT loss. Chicago was 1/3 on the power play, and also had 28 hits and 29 shots and have extended their losing streak to seven games.

Vegas was another comeback Ot winner today as they scored with 1:02 left in regulation and then won in OT. Shea Theodore had a goal (2) and a assist, while Jonathan Marchessault (2) and Evgeni Dadonov (2) also scored for the Golden Knights. Laurent Brossoit made 32 saves on 34 shots in the win. Vegas was 0/1 on the power play, and also had 9 hits and 21 shots. Each team had lineup changes for Dallas healthy forwards Jason Robertson and Blake Comeau replaced Jacob Peterson and Tanner Kero and for Vegas Alec Martinez replaced Matias Janmark. Luke Glendening (2) and Alex Radulov (1) both scored for the Stars. Anton Khudobin made 18 saves on 21 shots in the OT loss. Dallas was 0/1 on the power play, and also had 20 hits and 34 shots.

Cam Atkinson lifts the Flyers with a two goal game that gives Philly the win as Edmonton drops their first of the season.
