Columbus 4 Dallas 1 Final

Gregory Hoffman scores his first NHL goal and helps Columbus to win their 4th of the season in only 6 games. Zach Werenski (2), Oliver Bjorkstrand (3) and Gregory Hoffman (1) who got his first NHL goal all had a goal and assist, while Alex Texier (2) also scored for the Blue Jackets. Elvis Merzlikins made 31 saves on 32 shots in the win. Patrick Laine’s five game point streak ended. Columbus was 0/4 on the power play, and also had 13 hits and 26 shots and have won four of their first six games. Each team had lineup changes for Dallas a healthy John Klingberg replaced Joel Hanley while for Columbus Gabriel Carlsson and Dean Kukan replaced Scott Harrington and injured Adam Boqvist. Tyler Seguin (2) was the lone goal scorer for the Stars. Brayden Holtby made 22 saves on 25 shots in the loss and Columbus had a EN goal. Buffalo 5 Tampa Bay 1 Final 

Buffalo rebounded from back to back losses to blowout Tampa as the Sabres continue their great start while Tampa continues to struggle. Victor Olofsson scored twice (3 and 4), Robert Hagg had a goal (1) and assist, Tage Thompson had 2 assists, while Drake Caggiula (1) and Vinne Hinostroza (1) also scored for the Sabres. Craig Anderson made 35 saves on 36 shots in the win. Buffalo was 0/1 on the power play, and also had 12 hits and 25 shots and have won four and have a point in five of their first six games. Tampa Bay has the only lineup change as Alex Barre Boulet replaced Patrick Maroon in the lineup. Alex Killorn (3) was the lone goal scorer for the Lightning. Brian Elliott made 20 saves on 23 shots in the loss and Buffalo had 2 EN goals. Tampa Bay was 0/2 on the power play, and also had 17 hits and 36 shots and are on a three game losing streak.

Calgary 5 New York R 1 Final

Mangiapane’s two goal game helps the Flames to another win while they end New York R’s winning streak. Andrew Mangiapane scores twice (4 and 5), Blake Coleman (2) and Mikael Backlund (1) each had a goal and assist, while Chris Tanev (1) also scored for Calgary. Jacob Markstrom made 28 saves on 29 shots in the win. Elias Lindholm (6G-1A-7P) has a five game point streak and Johnny Gaudreau (0G-7A-7P) has a four game point streak. Florida almost blew a three goal lead but stayed the course dumping Arizona for another loss as they get banged up. Jonathan Huberdeau had a goal (3) and a assist, Brandon Montour and Sam Bennett each had 2 assists, while Anthony Duclair (4), Aaron Ekblad (3), Frank Vatrano (1) and Joe Thornton (1) all also scored for the Panthers. Spencer Knight made 18 saves on 21 shots in the win. Sam Reinhart (2G-3A-5P) has a four game point streak. Florida was 2/3 on the power play, and also had 23 hits and 41 shots and have pushed their winning streak to six consecutive games. Frederik Anderson shuts the door on his former team and with help from his forwards was able to keep Carolina’s win streak going. Andrei Svechnikov had a goal (5) and a assist, Jacob Slavin had 2 assists, while Nino Niederriter (2), Steven Lorentz (1) and Sebastian Aho (4) all also scored for the Hurricanes. As both teams combined for a 12 goal game it was T.J Oshie’s hat trick and Ovechkin’s 2 goal game that keeps Washington’s point streak alive. T.J Oshie had a hat trick (2,3 and 4), Alex Ovechkin scored twice (6 and 7), Connor McMichael had 2 assists, while John Carlson (1) and Nick Jensen (2) also scored for the Capitals. St.Louis breaks the tie in the third thanks to a Tarasenko goal to give St.Louis there best start ever. Vladimir  Tarasenko scored twice (2 and 3), while David Perron (6) also scored for the Blues.
