5 Rumors

#1) Kaprizov extension close

According to a couple of sources the Kaprizov fiasco could be coming to an end. After long discussions where Kaprizov reportedly turned down a 8 year deal north of $9 Million, it seems that they have agreed that a 5 year deal seems like the best and the money should be North of $9 Million and after the work out the Kinks in the contract they could announce it.

#2) Hertl to be a big trade target in season

The Sharks at least in my eyes will be one of the worst teams in the West. The Sharks are up to their neck in awful contracts and 2nd line center Hertl is a UFA in a years time and with very little Cap Space they should really consider trading him between now and the NHL Trade Deadline. Some people have said he is unhappy with the Evander Kane situation and may want out of San Jose and they could speed up their rebuild if they traded Hertl as they could get a pretty good return for him.

#3) Islanders secrecy over with 4 signings, Parise up next

After free agency opened the Islanders did not make any announcement but after over a month of waiting they finally announced that Beauvillier and Sorokin each got three year deals, Palmeri signed for 4 years, while 4th line center Casey Cizikas got a 6 year deal. And expect in the next couple of days that they will announce a Zach Parise signing as it has been confirmed but not announced that he will with NYI.

#4) teams calling on P.K Subban

Recent rumour has it that multiple teams are calling the Devils about P.K Subban. There is not much to go on here but no team will be willing to acquire him at his full $9 Million dollar cap hit but if the Devils retain around 50% of his contract which is in the Final deal then any team who wants a top 4 right shot defensemen on a expiring deal should call New Jersey

#5) Barkov extension coming

Just a quick note but a lot of people think that Barkov will get a long term extension worth maybe north of $10 Million before training camp starts.
