Because training camp started yesterday I’m indulging on all the PTO’s that are signed right now
Anaheim (1)
Tobias Rieder was given a PTO by the Ducks after having 5 goals and 2 assists for 7 Points in 44 Games with Buffalo last year and is a solid bottom 6 forward who can help on the penalty kill.
Arizona (1)
Alex Galchenyuk was given a PTO by the Coyotes after having 5 goals and 8 assists for 13 points in 34 regular season games with Toronto and Ottawa and 1 goal and 3 assists for 4 points in 5 playoff games with Toronto, has some familiarity with the Coyotes after playing the entire 2018-19 season with them and is a solid middle six forward.
Boston (1)
Aaron Ness signed a PTO with Boston and is more of a spare defensemen after having 1 game played with Arizona last season.
Columbus (1)
Jean Francis Berube signes a PTO with the Blue Jackets. He last played in an NHL game with the Blackhawks in the 2017-18 season when he had 13 games played and at this point in his carrer is a third or fourth string goalie.
Colorado (3)
Artem Anisimov, Gabriel Fontaine, and Jack Johnson signed PRO’s with the Avalanche. Artem Anisimov is coming off a season where he had 2 goals and 7 assists for 9 points in 19 games with Ottawa and is a Fourth line center or a spare forward at this point in his career, Jack Johnson is coming off a season where he had 1 goal in 13 games and is a 3rd pair left defensemen or a spare D-Men, and Gabriel Fontaine has never played a NHL game and had a assist in 4 games with Hartford of the AHL this season and is a Spare forward.
Detroit (1)
Bobby Ryan has signed a PTO with the Red Wings and has familiarity with the organization after having 7 goals and 7 assists for 14 points in 33 games with Detroit last season and is a solid bottom 6 forward who can contribute.
Edmonton (1)
Colton Sceviour was signed to a PTO by Edmonton and is a solid bottom 6 forward after having 5 goals and 5 assists for 10 points in 46 games with Pittsburgh last season and could provide Edmonton with some much needed depth.
Montreal (1)
Cody Goloubef signed a PTO with Montreal and has not played and NHL game since 2019-20 and had 4 goals and 2 assists for 6 points in 31 games in the AHL last year and is a spare defensemen.
New Jersey (4)
Frederik Gauthier, Jimmy Vesey, Mark Jankowski, and Tyler Wotherspoon all signed PTO’s with New Jersey. Frederik Gauthier is a forth line forward or spare forward after having no points in 2 games played with Arizona, Jimmy Vesey is a solid third line player after he had 5 goals and 5 assists for 10 points in 50 games with Vancouver and Toronto, Mark Jankowski who is a solid fourth line guy after he had 4 goals and 7 assists for 11 points in 45 games, and Tyler Wotherspoon has not played in the NHL since 2016-17 and had 6 assists in 24 games with Lehigh Valley of the AHL.
New York I (1)
Erik Gustafsson signed a PTO with New York I and can be a good 2nd or 3rd pair defender after having 1 goal and 11 assists for 12 points in 29 regular season games with Philadelphia and Montreal and had 1 goal and 2 assists for 3 points in 16 playoff games.
Ottawa (1)
Tyler Ennis signed a PTO with the Senators after having 3 goals and 6 assists for 9 points in 30 regular season games and no points in 2 playoff games for Edmonton and can be a solid bottom 6 forward and does have some experience in Ottawa after playing part of the 2019-20 season with the Senators.
Pittsburgh (2)
Brian Boyle and Matt Bartkowski have each signed PTO’s with Pittsburgh. Brian Boyle can be a 4th line center but didn’t play an NHL game last season last playing with Florida in 2019-20 while Matt Bartkowski can be a serviceable seventh D-Men after he had no points in one NHL game with Minnesota last season
Seattle (3)
Scott Wilson, Brent Gates, and Ryan Lohin all signed PTO’s with the Kraken. Wilson could be a Spare forward but has not played an NHL game since 2019-20 having 1 goal and 2 assists for 3 points in 8 games with Syracuse of the AHL, Brent Gates has never played a NHL game and had 2 goals and 7 assists for 9 points in 12 games with Rochester and San Diego of the AHL last season, while Ryan Lohin has also never played a NHL game and had 7 goals and 8 assists for 15 points in 25 games with Syracuse of the AHL last season.
St.Louis (2)
Michael Frolik and James Neal each sign PTO’s with the Blues. Michael Frolik is a bottom 6 forward or a spare forward after he had no points in 8 games with the Canadiens last year, while James Neal is still a solid bottom 6 forward after he had 5 goals and 5 assists for 10 points in 29 regular season games and no points in 2 playoff games with Edmonton last season
Toronto (2)
Nikita Gusev and Josh Ho-Sang each signed a PTO with the Maple Leafs. Gusev can still be a productive bottom 6 Forward after he had 4 goals and 6 assists for 10 points in 31 games with both New Jersey and Florida, while Josh Ho-Sang could still be a fourth line forward but has not played an NHL game since 2018-19 when he had a goal and assist in 10 games with NYI
Vancouver (1)
Alex Chiasson signed a PTO with the Canucks. Chiasson is a valuable bottom 6 forward after he had 9 goals and 7 assists for 16 points in 45 regular season games and had 1 goal in 3 playoff games with Edmonton last season.
Vegas (1)
Ian Mccoshen signed a PTO with the Golden Knights. Mccoshen can be a spare Defensemen but has not played an NHL game since 2018-19 when he had a goal and assist in 19 games with Florida
