Quick Notes on the remaining RFA’s

#1) Kirill Kaprizov

There has been tons of dialogue between Kaprizov and the Wild that included Kaprizov lying about having a deal in the KHL with 8 figures to gain leverage and declining 8 year $9 Million dollar deals that the Wild offered. While there are still some sticking points I think they will agree on something that has been reported recently, a 5Y deal at around $9 Million dollars this way Kaprizov doesn’t sign a max deal and Minnesota doesn’t walk Kaprizov to Free Agency.

#2) Elias Pettersson

The Canucks have had less dialogue with Peterson than Hughes but are trying to get him signed. They were worried about a offer sheet for Pettersson earlier especially after the Kotkaniemi offer sheet but the compensation Pettersson should look to if he gets a bridge deal to get what a Brayden Point or Matthew Barzal got on a three year $7 Million dollar bridge deal or if he is going to get a long term deal then he will want more then Nico Hischier got (both were drafter in 2017) on his 7 year $7.25 Million because Pettersson has more points in less games then Hischier does.

#3) Quinn Hughes

The superstar defensemen is closer on a contract agreement then fellow teammate Pettersson but still is a ways to go before a contract is agreed upon. Hughes should be looking at a long term deal that is close to Cale Makar contract of 6 years by $9  Million dollar contract but maybe i wold guess a contract at around 7 years by $8.25 million per year.

#4) Brady Tkachuk

The big power forward has still not signed a contract with the Sens and training Camp is nearing. Tkachuk has reportedly been offered the same Deal that Thomas Chabot has a 8 year by $8 Million dollar deal but I think they will need a bit more money like my guess would be a 8 year deal around the $8.75 Million dollar range to work out a extension and there have also been rumors that if he signs long term then he could be the next Captain of the Sens as early as this year.

#5) Robert Thomas

The Blues 2017 1RD pick has still not signed with the team and trading camp nears. Thomas was adamant that he gets the same amount or more money then teammate Kyrou why has a 2 year deal worth $2.8 Million and with the Blues cap space it makes it really hard to get him a deal but they could put Oskar Sundqvist’s contract on LTIR to by them some time before they have serious cap problems so I think a 2-3 year deal worth around $3 Million should be what he signs for.

#6) Rasmus Dahlin

The Sabres still have not worked out a contract extension with Sabres yet and they should try to finish a extension soon. Dahlin May want a shorter term deal because of the Direction the Sabres are going in. I would expect a deal between 5 and 7 Million dollars at around 3-4 years as a doable extension for Dahlin as their top defender and because he is a top defender then they should try to sign him quickly.

#7) Kiefer Bellows

Should sign for smaller term and money in a new deal with the Islanders. Bellows should get a 1-2 year deal around less then a Million dollars and I think he will have a “prove me” contract and I think he will earn a roster spot with the Islanders.

#8) Anatoly Golyshev

A 2016 4RD pick probably the least concerned player who doesn’t have a contract has never played in North America so if the Islanders can sign him, but he is a AHL player at best so it isn’t urgent to get him signed.
