5 Rumors

#1) P.K Subban drawing interest from 2 Atlantic teams

Over was the past couple weeks there have been rumors that P.K Subban is on the trade block and News has surfaced that Toronto and Boston are two of the interested teams. Toronto could use a veteran player on the third pair on the right side to replace Zach Bogosian and for Boston Subban would be a improvement on Clifton who would be there 3rd pairing  but for either team to acquire him they would need to move out a contract and ask Jersey to retain half of Subban’s $9 Million.

#2) Tarasenko trade could involve 3 teams

I have heard from a source that if there is a Tarasenko trade that it would likely be a three team trade. Tarasenko still has health concerns and teams are wary to take him on because of the injury concerns and contract of $7.5 Million. That’s where the third team comes in as we saw this at the trade deadline last year when in deals that sent Savard to Tampa, Foligno to Toronto, and Janmark to Vegas, San Jose and Detroit were able to take 25% of the Contracts and get a 4th or 5th round pick so a team with plenty of Cap Space like Anaheim, Arizona, Detroit, Buffalo or Seattle could take a bit of Tarasenko’s salary for a mid level pick.

#3) Jacub Chychrun not on the trade block

After Dvorak was moved to Montreal on Saturday, the next afternoon their were reports that the Coyotes have placed Jacub Chychrun on the trade block and wanted 2 1st round picks for him. But since then almost everyone I have heard from said that those rumors are not true and Chychrun is the Coyotes best player and that they want to build around him and not trade him.

#4) Logan Brown wants out

Former 2016 1st round pick Logan Brown wants to be traded out of Ottawa. Logan Brown has barely played in the NHL the last five years and has said he will not go to Ottawa for training camp. The Sens have reportedly been looking for a trade but no team has the asking price that Ottawa wants as the Sens are not just going to give the former first round pick away for nothing so if there has been no trade when training camp starts then he said he will play in Sweden.

#5) David Backes retires

David Backes signed a 1 day deal with the St.Louis Blues to retire a Blue after he played the first 10 years of his 15 year career with the Blues.
