#1) Ryan Murray finds a home in Denver
Ryan Murray signed a 1 year deal worth $2 Million dollars. Murray is a solid top 4 D-Men and should find himself on the 2nd or 3rd pairing trying to help fill in the production left by Graves being traded.
#2) Jordan Kyrou and Zach Sanford have resigned with the Blues. Kyrou signed a 2 year contract worth $5.6 Million and a AAV of $2.8 and should continue to grow in the Blues top 6, while Sanford signed a 1 year contract worth $2 Million and can still be a productive middle six forward on the team.
#3) Logan Stanley resigned with Winnipeg
Stanley and the Jets have agreed to a 2 year contract extension worth $1.8 Million and a AAV of $.900 Thousand and should still grow on the Jets 3rd pairing
Trade Rumors from Buffalo, Calgary, Carolina
#1) Buffalo Eichel relationship in pieces, trade imminent
Buffalo has waited now past the expansion draft, entry draft, and the beginning of Free Agency and the Sabres still have Eichel and GM Kevyn Adams has expressed that unless he gets his asking price that Eichel would come to training camp to which Eichel’s agent said that the process is not working as they thought Eichel would have been traded by the start of Free Agency. Now when a deal gets done is up in the air, it could be today or right before training camp but one thing is for sure and that is there is no way Eichel is back in Buffalo next year.
#2) Calgary could still shake up the core, Gaudreau and Monahan most likely to be traded
The Flames have yet to shake up their core and that could be coming soon. So far this offseason they have added Coleman and lost Giordano in the expansion draft but their core Forwards remains intact. Their have been plenty of rumors about Matthew Tkachuk being traded but I don’t think the Flames will trade him as he is there best Forward in my opinion and Lindholm has been great ever since coming over in a trade so I wouldn’t trade him but I could see Calgary move Monahan or Gaudreau. Monahan is their top line Center and they have been rumoured to be in on Eichel or if a team misses on Eichel Calgary could then trade Monahan to a Center needy team, while Gaudreau has been in trade rumors a lot this year because he is entering the Final year of his contract and it has been speculated that he would be okay to be traded to any of the New York area or Pennsylvanian teams.
#3) Carolina still wants to improve their forward group and are one of the teams rumoured to be in on Taransenko
The Canes have gone through Free Agency addressing their goalies and replacing Hamilton on the backend and have also signed some depth forwards but they could try to improve their top 9. They have been rumoured to be in on a top 9 Forward after trading Foegele and there have been some rumors that they were in on Saad before he signed with St.Louis and now it looks like they could be in the discussions for Tarasenko. Tarasenko has asked for a trade a while ago and has yet to get it and if they do get him he could play on the 2nd line with Necas and Trocheck.
