#1) Gaudreau, Calgary trying to get a extension.
According to Friedman on his 31 thoughts blog, Calgary and Gaudreau might be trying to work out an extension. There have been plenty of rumors of the Flames maybe trading Gaudreau because of his done play, him being a pending UFA, and that there was a very good chance he might leave in Free Agency possibly to Philadelphia when he grew up being a big fan but if they can get a extension in place maybe around the $8 Million dollar range he can remain part of the Flames core.
#2) Blues to try and trade Tarasenko before the trade freeze , NYI the front runner.
I have recently heard that to maybe get a better looking protection list they might trade Tarasenko before the July 17th trade freeze. Also I have heard that the Islanders May be the front runner for Tarasenko and could offer up two of Beauvillier, Eberle, or Bailey in a trade package.
#3) if Hyman won’t resign with Toronto the Leafs might be interested in Bertuzzi.
There has been a lot of talk recently that Zach Hyman and Toronto are ways off on contract talks and Hyman most likely will be testing Free Agency. So if the Maple Leafs are going to replace Hyman they might look to Bertuzzi from Detroit and they have been linked to him and he is younger then Hyman and is a better goal scorer.
#4) Kings Looking for another top 6 Winger
After acquiring Arvidsson on July 1st to help the Kings improve their top 6 they appear to be looking for yet another top 6 Forward. Friedman on his 31 thoughts blog said that he could see the Kings go after Saad or Schwartz in Free Agency and strengthen their top 6.
#5) another Coyote on the trade block
Arizona is full of possible trade candidates like Kessel, OEL, and Kuemper but on Friedman’s31 thoughts blog he said that Dvorak is another name to keep an eye on. Dvorak is a soild top center that could be of interest to teams looking for a high level center like Vegas and Minnesota.
