 Offseason News and Rumors

News

Joel Eriksson Ek signed a long term 8 year deal at $42 Million with a AAV of $5.25 Million per year and will continue to be the second line center for the Wild after having a career year in Goals (19) and Points (30).

Rumours

#1) Tarasenko on the move.

Vladimir Tarasenko has been heavily injured the past two season and is now being shopped  by the Blues. St.Louis needs cap space and moving Tarasenko would help them sign someone like Schwartz and whoever gets Tarasenko would get a great goal scorer.

#2) Duncan Keith Moving West

With Keith getting older in age he has expressed interest in moving to western Canada or Seattle to be closer to his son. Keith has a NMC and would have to and probably would waive it to be traded and the front runners to land him are the Oilers and Kraken.

#3) Flyers pushing hard for Jones

Philadelphia really needs to up their Defense after missing the playoffs and Seth Jones is on the top of their players to try and get. Jones has a year left and is a real good D-Men while Patrick, Myers, and Sanheim have all been rumoured going the other way in a deal.

#4) Seattle to spend to the limit, make a side deal with Nashville

Seattle GM Ron Francis has been told to put the best team together for their inaugural season and that if that ment spending to the cap in year 1 that it would be more then okay, while the Nashville GM has said that if they can chose who goes to Seattle that they would consider a side deal and with Johansen and Duchene both making $8 Million for the foreseeable future if they could get Seattle to take one of those contracts it would be smart.

#5) Forsberg unhappy with Arvidsson deal

After dealing Arvidsson, Forsberg said he didn’t like the move and has now opened speculation about Nashville dealing Forsberg. He has a year left on his contract and could be traded as a rental.
