Blockbuster Trade Alert

 Rasmus Ristolainen

 Robert Hagg, 2021 1RD pick (#13), 2023 2RD Pick

Analysis: the Philadelphia Flyers have acquired Defensemen Rasmus Ristolainen from the Sabres in exchange for their 1RD pick today (#13 overall), a 2023 2RD Pick, and D-Men Robert Hagg. For the Flyers Ristolainen will fit perfectly in their top 4 (and after acquiring Ryan Ellis earlier this offseason Ristolainen should be a second pairing D-Men paired with Sanheim). Ristolainen has one year left on his contract at $5.4 Million and should help make the Flyers Defence be one of the best in the league this year after he had (4G-14A-18P) in 49 regular season games. As for Buffalo Hagg has one year at $1.6 Million before becoming a UFA and will help out and be a part of the young Sabres D-Core and should start on the 3RD pairing after having (2G-3A-5P) in 34 games. The 2023 2RD Pick will help them gain draft capital in a couple years while the 13th overall pick that will be announced today has the possibility of Buffalo now drafting two quality players in the top 15 of this years draft.

 Pavel Buchnevich (Pending RFA)

 Sammy Blais, 2022 2RD

Analysis: New York R has traded the signing rights of RFA Pavel Buchnevich to the St.Louis Blues for Sammy Blais and a 2022 2RD. The blues get a great score and point getter who can produce on the 2ND or 3RD lines for St.Louis. Buchnevich is a Pending RFA with Arbitration rights so the Blues should try and sign him soon especially if the end up losing Tarasenko via trade and Buchnevich should help the hole that could possibly be left by Tarasenko after having. (20G-28A-48P) in 54 games. For the Rangers they get a high level pick in next years draft for parting with Buchnevich 2022 2RD and Sammy Blais who can play in the bottom 6 who could play center on the Fourth line after having (8G-7A-15P) in 36 regular season games and 1 goal in 4 playoff games.
