1:) Kevin Stenlund has signed a 1 year $1.05 Million dollar extension to remain with the Blue Jackets.
Rumours
#1) Blackhawks join the Eichel sweepstakes
With Jonathan Toews health in question the Blackhawks could look to the Sabres for the next first line center. Some things the Sabres might ask for are young center Kirby Dach and maybe also their first round pick this year.
#2) Chicago has interest in Hamilton and Jones.
Chicago has also shown interest in the two biggest right shot defensemen available this offseason. Hamilton is a pending UFA and would need to make around 8 Million while Jones is a trade target for teams, a UFA next year and Columbus might ask for Dach.
#3) Price high for expansion draft side deals
Just like reported earlier in the year their will be a high price like a first round pick or a high level prospect if someone wants to make a side deal whether to protect someone or move a bad contract.
#4) OEL once again on the trade block by Arizona
The Oliver Ekman-Larsson trade rumours are circling again as the Coyotes are exploring the idea of moving their captain again this offseason. Last offseason he said he would only waive to be traded to Boston or Vancouver but maybe this offseason is different.
#5) Kaprizov going back to the KHL.
Early after the Wild were eliminated from the playoffs they apparently gave Kaprizov a max contract of 8 years for a lot of money but Kaprizov doesn’t want a max contract but a three to four year contract to lead him to being a UFA. Now Minnesota does not want that so Kaprizov is threatening to go back to the KHL unless he gets what he wants.
Because there was not much over the past couple days I am predicting what some of the different teams who want to trade for Eichel trade packages for could be and I have five teams: Minnesota, Calgary, Anaheim, Los Angeles, and Columbus and probably the best trade scenarios for both sides.
