New York I 3 Tampa Bay 2 Final
The Islanders get a lucky brake at the end of the games Pulock made the save of the season late in the third to tie the series at 2. Cal Clutterbuck ans Adam Pelech each had two assists, while Josh Bailey (6), Matthew Barzal (6), and Matt Martin (1) all scored for the Islanders. Semyon Varlamov made 28 saves in the win. The Islanders were 0/3 on the power play, and also had 36 hits and 30 shots. Neither team had any lineup changes. Brayden Point (12) and Tyler Johnson (2) each scored for the Lightning. Brayden Point (7G-2A-9P) and Nikita Kucherov (2G-10A-12P) each have a seven game point streak. Andrei Vasilevskiy made 27 saves in the loss. The Lightning were 0/1 on the power play, and also had 42 hits and 30 shots. My thoughts: the Islanders has a great game by getting to a three goal lead and holding on to it and having a two all series. The best of seven series is tied 2-2, Game 5 is Monday at 5:00.
Vegas 2 Montreal 1 Final/OT
Vegas was the one to comeback as they got a hide victory to even the series. Nick Roy (4) and Brayden McNabb (1) both scored for the Golden Knights. Robin Lehner made 27 saves in the overtime win. The Golden Knights were 0/1 on the power play, and also had 24 hits and 21 shots. The only lineup change was for Vegas as a Patrick Brown replaced Ryan Reaves. Paul Byron (3) was the lone goal scorer for the Canadiens. Carey Price made 19 saves in the overtime loss. The Canadiens were 0/1 on the power play, and also had 40 hits and 28 shots. My thoughts: Vegas got a huge win to comeback from down 1-0 to win 2-1 in overtime and even this series at two apiece. The best of seven series is tied 2-2, Game 5 Tuesday at 6:00.
