 Washington 2 Boston 1 Final

Washington was able to outlast the Bruins in a tight contest thanks to a goal with less than five seconds from Raffl to beat Boston. Michael Raffl (4) and Carl Hagelin (6) both scored for the Capitals. Vitek Vanacek made 24 saves in his fourth start in the last five games. Washington finishes having won four of their last five games. Each team had lineup changes for Washington Nicklas Backstrom, Alex Ovechkin, and Philippe Maillet replaced T.J Oshie and Garret Pilon and Washington used 18 skaters again while Boston changed their whole roster the only ones who stayed on for both games were Jake DeBrusk, Chris Wagner, Curtis Lazar, and Nick Ritchie. Curtis Lazar (7) was the lone goal scorer for the Bruins. Jeremy Swayman made 30 saves in his second start in the last four games. Boston finishes their season by losing three of their last four games.

Washington finishes 2nd in the East 36-15-5 record, 77 points, are locked at 2nd, all 56 games played.

Boston finishes 3rd in the East 33-16-7 record, 73 points, are locked at 3rd, all 56 games played.



Winnipeg 5 Vancouver 0 Final 

Winnipeg gets third and a date with the Oilers while Vancouver falls again.  Blake Wheelerhad two goals (14 and 15) and two assists, Kyle Connor had a goal (24) and two assists, Mark Scheifele had a goal (21) and a assist, while Mason Appleton (11) also scored for the Jets. Mark Scheifele has a four game point streak (2G-4A-6P). Connor Hellebuyck made 24 saves in his fourth shutout of the season. Winnipeg has won two of the last four games. The only lineup change was for Winnipeg as Neal Pionk and Dominic Toninato replaced Ville Heinola and Jansen Harkins. Vancouver was shutout for a sixth time this season. Brayden Holtby made 31 saves in his first start since May 3. Vancouver has lost eight of their last ten games. 

Winnipeg is 3rd in the North 29-23-3 record, 61 points, Clinched a Playoff Spot, 55 games played. 

Vancouver is 7th in the North 21-27-3 record, 45 points, Eliminated from Playoff Contention, 51 games played.
