New York retakes top spot in the East with the win. Brock Nelson (15) and Jordan Eberle (14) each scored in regulation while Brock Nelson also scored in the shootout for New York. Ilya Sorokin made 25 saves in his second start in the last three games. New York is on a four game winning streak. Each team made lineup changes for Philadelphia Robert Hagg replaced Philippe Myers and New York put in new acquisitions Kyle Palmeri and Travis Zajac replaced Kiefer Bellows and Oliver Wahlstrom. Nicolas Aube Kubel (3) and Jacob Voracek (7) each scored for Philadelphia. Travis Konecny has a four game point streak (1G-4A-5P). Carter Hart made 21 saves in his third start in the last four games. Pavel Zacha had two goals (9 and 10), Ty Smith and Jesper Bratt each had two assists, while Jesper Boqvist (1) also scored for New Jersey. Aaron Dell made 24 Saves in his first start since Mar 2. New Jersey ended their four game losing streak. The only lineup change was for New Jersey as Jesper Boqvist replaced Travis Zajac who was recently traded. Victor Olofsson (11), Tage Thompson (3) and Jeff Skinner (4) each scored for Buffalo. Casey Mittelstadt’s four game point streak ended. Linus Ullmark made 32 saves in his sixth start in the last seven games. Buffalo’s 5 game point streak ended.

Tampa Bay has won threes of their last five games.Each team had lineup changes for Columbus Stefan Matteau and Dean Kukan replaced Boone Jenner and David Savard as for Tampa Bay Erik Cernak replaced Luke Schenn. Jack Roslovic had a goal (8) and two assists, while Michael Del Zotto (3), Zach Wereinski (7), and Max Domi (7) each scored for Columbus. Jonas Korpisalo made 3 saves on 6 shots before being pulled for Elvis Merzlikins who made 21 saves in relief. Columbus has lost four of their last five games.

Pittsburgh earns a spilt of the two game set with the win. Each team had one lineup change Boston Anton Blidh replaced Trent Fredric while Washington replaced Daniel Sprong with Daniel Carr. T.J Oshie had a goal (12) and assist, John Carlson had two assists, while Alex Ovechkin (20) also scored for Washington. Ilya Samsonov made 28 saves in his third start in the last five games. Nashville extends their lead for the last playoff spot with the win. Each team had lineup changes for Detroit Sam Gagner replaced Frans Nielsen and for Nashville David Ferrance who made his NHL debut, Tyler Lewington, and Victor Arvidsson replaced Dante Fabbro, Rem Pitlick, and Elli Tolvanen.
