 Chicago 5 Nashville 4 Final/OT

Chicago comes back from down 4-1 to beat the Preds and get a much needed 2 points. Brandon Hagel (7) has a goal and two assists, Pius Suter (13) and Vinne Hinostroza (1) each had a goal and assist, Kirby Dach had two assists, while Wyatt Kalynuk (3) and Dominik Kubalik (15) also scored for Chicago. Malcom Subban made 36 saves in his second start in the last three games. Chicago has won four of their last six games. Each team had lineup changes for Chicago Adam Boqvist and Brandon Hagel replaced Dylan Strome and Adam Gaudette and Nashville had Elli Tolvanen replace Rocco Grimaldi. Mikael Granlund had a goal (12) and assist, while Elli Tolvanen (11), Colton Sissons (8), and Luke Kunin (6) also scored for Nashville. Jusse Saros made 25 saves in his sixth consecutive start. Nashville has lost three of their last four games.

Minnesota 4 Arizona 1 Final 

Kaprizov breaking the wild rookie record for goals and Cam Talbot’s play leads Minnesota to a big win over Arizona. Nico Sturm had a goal (7) and assist, while Kevin Fiala (16), Marcus Foligno (8), and Kirill Kaprizov (19) each scored for Minnesota. Cam Talbot made 39 saves in his fifth start in the last six games. Minnesota is on a five game winning streak and six game point streak. The only lineup change was for Arizona as Derek Brassard replaced Connor Garland. Christian Dvorak (13) scored the lone goal for Arizona. Darcy Kuemper made 19 saves in his third consecutive start. Arizona has lost seven of their last eight games.

Vegas 5 San Jose 2 

Great play and goaltending have lead to Vegas’s fourth consecutive Playoff appearance after clinching a playoff spot. Jonathan Marchessault had two goals (12 and 13) and two assists, Mattias Janmark had a goal (11) his first with Vegas and a assist, Shea Theodore had two assists, while Mark Stone (18) and Alex Tuch (17) also scored for Vegas. Max Pacioretty (3G-7A-10P) and Mark Stone (6G-5A-11P) each have a six game point streak. Marc Andre Fleury made 31 saves in his fourth start in the last seven games. Vegas has a francise tying record eighth game winning streak. Vegas had the only lineup change as Dylan Sikura replaced Tomas Jurco. Timo Meier (9) and Tomas Hertl (14) each scored for San Jose. Josef Korenar made 35 saves in his fourth game played in the last seven games. San Jose has a seven game losing streak. 

Vegas is 1st in the West 33-11-2 record, 68 points, clinched a playoff spot, 46 games played.

Montreal 4 Edmonton 3 Final 

Montreal gets a big two points in the win over Edmonton. Josh Anderson scores twice (16 and 17), Jeff Petry and Tomas Tatar each had two assists, while Tyler Toffoli (22) and Autturi Lehkonen (4) also scored for Montreal. Jake Allen made 22 saves in his seventh start in the last nine games. Even with the win Montreal has only won three times in their last nine games. Each team had lineup changes for Edmonton Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and James Neal replaced Jujhar Khaira and Joachim Nygard while Montreal replaced Brett Kulak with Jon Merrill. Connor McDavid had a goal (25) and two assists, while Ryan Nugent-Hopkins (13) and Jesse Puljujarvi (12) also scored for Edmonton. Mike Smith made 27 saves in his fifth consecutive start. Edmonton has only lost twice in the last five games.

Edmonton is 3rd in the North 27-16-2 record, 56 points, 15 points above the playoff line, 45 games played.
