Detroit outlasts Carolina in the shootout for the win. Winnipeg 5 Montreal 0 Final 

Winnipeg got a much needed win against the Canadiens. Nikolai Ehlers (17), Andrew Copp (14) and Mathieu Perreault (8) each had a goal and assist, Paul Stastny (12) and Derek Forbort (2) also scored for Winnipeg. Andrew Copp has a four game point streak (2G-2A-4P). Connor Hellebuyck made 19 saves in his second shutout of the year. Winnipeg has won three straight and has a four game point streak. The only lineup change was for Montreal as Otto Leskinen who made his NHL debut replaced Victor Mete. Montreal was shutout for a third time this year. Jake Allen made 20 saves in his third consecutive start. Montreal is on a three game losing streak.

Toronto 6 Ottawa 5 Final 

Austin Matthews is the first player this year to hit 30 goals in the Leafs win. Austin Matthews had a Hat Trick (29,30 and 31) and a assist, Mitch Marner had a goal (14) and three assists, Zach Hyman (14) and Ilya Mikheyev (6) each had a goal and assist, while Alex Galchenyuk had two assists for Toronto. Tampa Bay 3 Nashville 0 Final 

Tampa Bay is now tied for top spot in the Central after the win. Yanni Gourde had a goal (14) and assist, while Ross Colton (7) and Erik Cernak (2) also scored for Tampa Bay. Andrei Vasilevskiy made 36 saves in his fourth shutout of the season. Tampa Bay has won four of their last six games. Each team had lineup changes for Tampa Bay Steven Stamkos was taken out and Tampa used 17 skaters while Nashville took out Mathieu Oliver, David Ferrance, and Tyler Lewington and put in Ryan Ellis, Rem Pitlick, and Michael Mccarron. Nashville was shutout for the fourth time this year. Pekka Rinne made 31 saves in his first start since Mar 28. Nashville has lost two of their last five games.

St.Louis 3 Minnesota 2 Final/OT

St.Louis gets back into a playoff spot with a huge win over Minnesota. Vince Dunn had three assists, Mike Hoffman had two goals (10 and 11), while Ryan O’Reilly also scored for St.Louis. Ville Husso made 28 saves in his third start in the last five games. St.Louis is on a three game winning streak. Each team had lineup changes for Minnesota Joseph Cramarossa and Nico Sturm replaced Kevin Fiala and Luke Johnson and St.Louis replaced Robert Thomas with Mike Hoffman. Nico Sturm (5) and Matt Dumba (6) each scored for Minnesota. Cam Talbot made 27 saves in his fifth start in the last six. Minnesota has lost three of their last four games.

Calgary topples Edmonton in the battle of Alberta to get their first win in a while. Mark Giordano (7) and Johnny Gaudreau 14) each had a goal and assist, Mikael Backlund and Sam Bennett each had two assists, while Elias Lindholm (10), Brett Ritchie (2), and Sean Monahan (8) each scored for Calgary. Andrew Mangiapane (2G-2A-4P) and Sam Bennett (0G-5A-5P) each have four game point streaks. Jacob Markstrom made 17 saves in his third shutout of the year. Calgary got there first win since Mar 27. Each team had lineup changes for Calgary Juuso Valimaki replaced Nikita Nesterov and for Edmonton James Neal and Tyler Ennis replaced Kyle Turris and Alex Chiasson. Edmonton was shutout for a fourth time this year. Mike Smith made 27 saves in his fourth start in the last five games. Edmonton’s four game losing streak ended.

LA finally beats the Sharks in a must win game. Jeff Carter (8), Andreas Athanasiou (9), and Dustin Brown (16) each have a goal and assist, while Alex Iafallo also scored (11) for Los Angeles. Jonathan Quick made 26 saves in his third start in the last five games. Los Angeles has won two of their last three games. The only lineup change was for Los Angeles as Carl Grundstrom and Kurtis Macdermid we’re replaced by Gabriel Vilardi and Olli Maatta. Timo Meier (8) and Dylan Gambrell (5) each scored for San Jose. Martin Jones made 15 saves on 19 shots before being replaced by Joseph Korenar who made his NHL debut and stopped all 7 shots he faced. San Jose has lost two of their last three games.
