NHL Rumors
TSN Insider trading
1 . Does Taylor Hall want to stay in Buffalo
Taylor Hall could stay and sign an extension if he and the Sabres would like to. Hall’s agent and the Sabres GM will talk some time soon to try and figure out what to do. Hall wants stability so he is willing to sign an extension either with the Sabres or Possibly a sign and trade with another team. Hall has produced well for the Sabres but they are last in the league right now and everyone is saying that Buffalo will blow it up and that could include Hall.
2 . Stars and Blue Jackets don’t want to be sellers
Dallas and Columbus would like to gain ground in the playoff race in the near future and not be sellers at the deadline. Dallas is further back then Columbus or Chicago but have a lot of games in hand and if they were to fall a bit back they could sell pieces like Jamie Oleksiak and Andrew Cogliano but they want to win a little bit and maybe even buy at the deadline. Columbus has taken some calls on Nick Foligno but have told teams that they do not want trade anyone as they want to try to take a run at the playoffs.
3 . Devils are a team to watch
Teams are calling the Devils asking for the availability on New Jersey’s pending UFA. The Devils have eight UFA and the biggest is Kyle Palmeri and the Devils could began trying to work out a new deal to keep him in New Jersey but if they can’t he might be traded. Other players to keep an eye on are Nikita Gusev, Ryan Murray and Sami Vatanen.
