 Washington 2 New York R 1 Final

The Caps take top spot in the East with the victory over New York. Alex Ovechkin got both goals (13 and 14) for Washington. Evgeny Kuznetsov has a six game point streak (1G-6A-7P), and Alex Ovechkin has a five game point streak (6G-1A-7P). Vitek Vanacek who started for the second time in the last three games made 32 saves in the win. Washington has won seven straight games. The only lineup change was for Washington were they took out Trevor Van Riemsdyk ans played with 17 players. Artemi Panarin (8) scores the lone goal for New York. Artemi Panarin has a six game point streak (3G-7A-10P), and Ryan Strome has a four game point streak (1G-4A-5P). Alex Georgiev has 16 saves in his second consecutive start. The Rangers had there three game point streak come to an end.

Vancouver 3 Montreal 2 Final/OT

Vancouver is now only a point back of Montreal for the last playoff spot. Adam Gaudette (4), Nils Hoglander (6), and J.T.Miller (9) each scored for Vancouver. Thatcher Demko made 29 saves in his eighth consecutive start. Vancouver is on a four game winning streak and have won seven of their last eight games. Vancouver had the only lineup change as they took out Tanner Pearson and Jalen Chatfield and put in Jimmy Vesey and Antoine Roussel Jeff Petry has two assists while Corey Perry (6) and Nick Suzuki (6) each scored for Montreal. Jake Allen made 25 saves in his first start in over a week. Montreal is on a three game point streak and have a point in nine of their last eleven games.

Montreal is 4th in the North 13-8-9 record, 35 points, 1 point above the playoff line, 30 games played.

Vancouver is 5th in the North 16-16-2 record, 34 points, 1 point back of a playoff spot, 34 games played.



Calgary 4 Toronto 3 Final

Calgary is just a couple points away from Montreal. Rasmuss Anderson has two assists, Chris Tanev (2), Mattew Tkachuk (8), Mark Giordano (4), and Derek Ryan (2) each had a goal for Calgary. Mikael Backlund (2G-3A-5P) and Elias Lindholm (2G-3A-5P) each have four game point streaks. Jacob Markstrom made 24 saves in his seventh consecutive start. Calgary has won four of the last five games. Each team had lineup changes for Toronto Jimmy Vesey (who was lost via waivers) and Tyler Boyd came out for Alex Galchenyuk and Wayne Simmonds while Calgary replaced Oliver Kylington with Nikita Nesterov. Jason Spezza (6), Alex Kerfoot (5), and Mitch Marner (12) each scored for Toronto. Mitch Marner has a five game point streak (2G-4A-6P) but William Nylander’s four game point streak came to an end. Freddie Anderson made 14 saves in his sixth start in the last eight games. Toronto is on a three game losing streak and have lost six of their last seven games 

Toronto is T1st in the North 19-10-2 record, 40 points, 6 points above the playoff line, 31 games played.

Calgary is 6th in the North 15-13-3 record, 33 points, 2 points above the playoff line, 31 games played.



St.Louis 2 San Jose 1 Final/SO

St.Louis gets a big win against San Jose. Tyler Bozak (1) got his first goal of the season and was the lone goal scorer in regulation while Brayden Schenn and Vladimir Tarasenko each scored in the shootout. Jordan Binnington who has started in three of the last four games made 30 saves in the win. The win ended St.Louis five game losing streak. Each team had lineup changes for San Jose Marcus Sorensen replaced Fredrik Handemark and St.Louis took out Dakota Joshua and put in Jayden Schwartz. Ryan Donato (4) was the lone regulation goal scorer for San Jose while Logan Couture scored the lone shootout goal. Martin Jones played his first game in over a week stoping 33 shots in the win. San Jose has lost three straight since a three game winning streak. 

St.Louis is 4th in the West 15-10-5 record, 35 points, 5 points above the playoff line, 30 games played.

San Jose is 7th in the West 11-13-4 record, 26 points, 9 points back of a playoff spot, 28 games played.



Vegas 4 Los Angeles 2 Final

Vegas wins again dropping the hot Kings. Max Pacioretty scored twice (15 and 16), Alec Martinez had two assists, and William Carrier (1) and William Karlsson (7) each scored for Vegas. Mark Stone has a ten game point streak (6G-12A-18P), Shea Theodore has a six game point streak (2G-7A-9P), and Max Pacioretty has a five game point streak (4G-5A-9P). Robin Lehner made 23 saves in his first start since Feb 7. Vegas has won five straight games and eleven of their last thirteen games. Each team had lineup changes for Vegas Thomas Jurco and Keegan Kolesar we’re replaced by Chandler Stephenson and Alex Tuch and for Los Angeles Dustin Brown and Kurtis Macdermid took out Matt Luff and Austin Wagner. Alex Iafallo (7) and Trevor Moore (4) each scored for Los Angeles. Alex Iafallo has a four game point streak (2G-2A-4P). Jonathan Quick made 29 saves in his first since being injured. Los Angeles has lost three of their last four games.

Vegas is 1st in the West 21-6-1 record, 43 points, 13 points above the playoff line, 28 games played.

Los Angeles is 5th in the West 12-11-6 record, 30 points, 5 points back of a playoff spot, 29 games played.
