 Vancouver 3 Ottawa 2 Final/SO

Vancouver won back to back games in extra time to sweep their two game set with Ottawa. Bo Horvat had a goal (13) and assist, while Brock Boeser (15) also scored in regulation for Vancouver and Adam Gaudette scored the lone shootout goal. Thatcher Demko made 30 saves in his seventh consecutive start. The Canucks have won three straight and six of their last seven games. Vancouver had the only lineup change taking out Marc Michaelis and Loui Eriksson and put in Tyler Motte and Jalen Chatfield. Ryan Dzingel (6) and Josh Norris (7) each scored for Ottawa. Joey Daccord made 19 saves before getting injured and then Filip Gustavsson came on in relief stoping all 8 shots he faced in his NHL debut. Ottawa has a three game point streak since a three game losing streak.

New York R 9 Philadelphia 0 Final 

The Rangers sent a message to the rest of the East Division teams with their 7 goal second period, “We are still in the race”. Mika Zibanejad tied the record for most points in a period by getting a Hat Trick (4,5 and 6) and three assists, Pavel Buchnevich had two goals (9 and 10) and two assists, Jacob Trouba (1) and Artemi Panarin (7) each had a goal and assist, Ryan Strome had two assists, while Brendan Lemieux (2) and Filip Chytil (4) each scored for New York. Alex Georgiev made 26 saves for the shutout and started and finished a game for the first time since Mar 6. The Rangers are currently on a three game point streak. Each team had lineup changes for Philadelphia Shayne Gostisbehere, Nate Prosser, Nicolas Aube Kubel and Oscar Lindblom each came out of the lineup being replaced by Erik Gustafson, Robert Hagg, Andy Andreoff and Connor Bunnaman while New York took out Tamo Ruenanen and Julien Gauthier and put in Adam Fox and Pavel Buchnevich. Philadelphia was shutout for the first time this season. Sean Couturier had his five game point streak end. Brian Elliott let in 5 goals on 13 shots before being replaced by Carter Hart who stoped 12 of 16 shots in relief. Philadelphia has now lost three of their last four games.

Winnipeg 4 Montreal 3 Final/OT

Winnipeg earns a spilt of their two game set with a victory over Montreal. Pierre Luc Dubois had a three assist game, Kyle Connor scored twice (15 and 16), Nikolai Ehlers had a goal (15) and assist, while Blake Wheeler (8) also scored for the Jets. Paul Stastny now has a four game point streak (2G-2A-4P). Connor Hellebuyck made 33 saves in his sixth start in the last seven games. Winnipeg has won five of their last eight games. Neither team had any lineup changes. Philip Danault (2) and Brendan Gallagher (11)  each had a goal and assist while Tyler Toffoli (18) also scored for Montreal. Carey Price who has started seven of the last nine games made 26 saves. The Canadiens have lost three of their last four and four of their last six.

Los Angeles 4 St.louis 1 Final

Los Angeles is closing in the last playoff spot in the West after another victory over St.louis. Drew Doughty (7), Anze Kopitar (8), and Trevor Moore (3) each had a goal and assist, Jaret Anderson Dolan had two assists, while Carl Grundstrom (4) also scored for Los Angeles. Cal Peterson made 19 saves in his fifth consecutive start. Los Angeles Has a point in five of their last seven games. Each team had lineup changes for Los Angeles Jaret Anderson Dolan and Olli Maatta came in for Michael Amadio and Kurtis Macdermid and for St.Louis Tyler Bozak and Jake Walman came in for Mackenzie Maceachern and Nikko Mikkola. Mike Hoffman (8) scored the lone Blues goal. Jordan Binnington made 20 saves in his third start in the last five games. St.Louis is on a five game losing streak.

St.Louis is 4th in the West 14-10-5 record, 33 points, 3 points above the playoff line, 29 games played.

Edmonton 7 Calgary 3 Final

Edmonton has won four of the six battle of Alberta matchups this year. Tyson Barrie has four assists, Connor McDavid had a goal (18) and two assists, Leon Draisaitl had three assists, Darnell Nurse (9), Jesse Puljujarvi (8), and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins (11) each had a goal and assist, while Alex Chiasson (6), Zach Kassian (2), and Dominik Kahun (5) also scored for Edmonton. Leon Draisaitl has a eight game point streak (7G-8A-15P) and Connor McDavid has a seven game point streak (4G-12A-16P). Mike Smith made 30 saves in his sixth start of March. Edmonton has now won five of their last seven games. The only lineup changes were for Edmonton where Zach Kassian and Dominik Kahun came in, taking out Jujhar Khaira and James Neal. Matthew Tkachuk has two assists, while Elias Lindholm (8), Mikael Backlund (6), and Johnny Gaudreau (12) each scored for Calgary. Jacob Markstrom made 23 saves in his sixth consecutive start. Calgary had their three game winning streak and four game point streak end. 

Edmonton is 3rd in the North 19-13-0 record, 38 points, 6 points above the playoff line, 32 games played.

Vegas 5 San Jose 4 Final

Vegas came back from down 3-1 to defeat San Jose 5-4. Shea Theodore has a goal (5) and assist, Thomas Nosek had two assists, while Cody Glass (4), Nick Hague (3), Ryan Reaves (1) and Alec Martinez (3) also scored for Vegas. Mark Stone has a nine game point streak (6G-11A-17P), Shea Theodore has a five game point streak (2G-6A-8P), Max Pacioretty has a four game point streak (2G-5A-7P). Marc Andre Fleury made 29 saves as he has started seventeen of the last eighteen games. Vegas is on a four game winning streak and have won ten of the last twelve games. Each team has lineup changes for Vegas Thomas Jurco and William Carrier come in for Alex Tuch and Patrick Brown as for San Jose John Leonard replaces Rudolf Balcers in the lineup. Evander Kane (12) has a goal and two assists, Mario Ferraro (1) had a goal and assist, Thomas Hertl has two assists, and Kevin Labanc (8) and Matt Nieto (5) each scored for San Jose. Deven Dubnyk made 32 saves in his fifth start in the last six games. San Jose has lost back to back games since a three game winning streak.
