 Minnesota 4 Vegas 3 Final

Minnesota Beating Vegas a second straight time overshadowed a young Vegas D-Mans terrific night. Joel Eriksson Ek (9 and 10) scored twice while Kirill Kaprizov (7) and Carson Soucy (1) each scored for Minnesota. Kaapo Kahkonen made 24 saves in his third start in four games. Minnesota has won back to back games and three of their last four games. The only lineup changes were for Vegas were they took out Nick Holden and William Carrier and put in Brayden McNabb and Mark Stone. Rookie Defensemen Dylan Coghlan got his 1st NHL goal and Hat Trick (1,2 and 3) in the loss for Vegas. Mark Stone now has a five game point streak (2G-9A-11P). Marc Andre Fleury made 25 saves before being pulled for Logan Thompson who stopped both shots for Vegas in his NHL debut. Vegas has now lost back to back games since a six game winning.

Vegas is 1st in the West 16-6-1 record, 33 points, 5 points above the playoff line, 23 games played.

Minnesota is 3rd in the West 15-8-1 record, 31 points, 3 points above the playoff line, 24 games played.



Edmonton 7 Ottawa 1 Final

Edmonton puts up a converted touchdown on Ottawa in there win.

Leon Draisaitl has a five point game and also got a hat trick (12,13 and 14), Connor McDavid had a goal (16) and two assists, Tyson Barrie had three assists, Darnell Nurse had a goal (7) and assist, and Jujhar Khaira (3) and James Neal (3) each scored for Edmonton. Leon Draisaitl now has a four game point streak (4G-4A-8P). Mike Smith in his third start in the last four games made 21 saves in the win. Edmonton has won three straight since losing three straight. Both teams had lineup changes as Edmonton put in Will Lagesson and Patrick Russel and took out Caleb Jones and Kyle Turris while Ottawa took out Matthew Peca and put in Artem Anisimov. Ottawa’s lone goal scorer was Evgenii Dadonov (9). Matt Murray who has started four of the last six games made 29 saves in the loss. The Sens have lost back to back games and have lost four of their last five games. 

Edmonton is 2nd in the North 17-11-0 record, 34 points, 8 points above the playoff line, 28 games played.

Ottawa is 7th in the North 9-19-1 record, 19 points, 12 points back of a playoff spot, 29 games played. 




Colorado 2 Arizona 1 Final/OT

Colorado keeps ahead of Arizona in the race for a playoff spot. Brandon Saad (9) and Gabriel Landeskog (7) each scored for Colorado. Nathan MacKinnon had his four game point streak end against Arizona. Philip Grubauer only needed to make 13 saves on 14 shots in the win. Colorado has won three of their last five games and has a point in four of them. Each team had one lineup change for Arizona Frederik Gauthier came out for Michael Chaput and for Colorado Nathan MacKinnon came into the lineup for Jayson Megna. Arizona’s lone goal scorer was Jacob Chychrun (7). Clayton Keller extended his point streak to six games (3G-5A-8P). Antti Raanta made 44 saves in his first game since coming in to last game due to Darcy Kuemper’s injury. Arizona has won three of their last five games and currently have a three game point streak.

Colorado is 4th in the West 14-8-2 record, 30 points, 2 points above the playoff line, 24 games played.

Arizona is 6th in the West 12-10-4 record, 28 points, 2 points back of a playoff spot, 26 games played.



Los Angeles 5 Anaheim 1 Final

Los Angeles keeps up in the west playoff race with the win. Adrian Kempe scored twice (10 and 11), while Anze Kopitar (7), Andreas Athanasiou (6), and Alex Iafallo (6) each scored for Los Angeles. Anze Kopitar has a six game point streak (3G-7A-10P). Troy Grosenick made 33 saves in his first NHL win since 2014. Los Angeles has now won two of their past three games and has a point in four straight games. Each team had lineup changes for Los Angeles they put in Austin Wagner and Michael Amadio and took out Rasmus Kupari and Matt Luff while for Anaheim they took out Josh Manson and Troy Terry and put in Josh Mahura and Vinni Lettieri. Anaheim’s lone goal scorer was Sam Steel (3). Rickard Rakell has his six game point streak end. John Gibson who has started six of the past seven games made 32 saves in the loss. Anaheim had their two game winning streak snapped vs Los Angeles. 

Los Angeles is 5th in the West 11-8-6 record, 28 points, 2 points back of a playoff spot, 25 games played.

Anaheim is 7th in the West 8-13-6 record, 22 points, 8 points back of a playoff spot, 27 games played. 



Montreal 5 Vancouver 1 Final 

Montreal pulls ahead of the Canucks in the playoff race. Jesper Kotkaniemi had a goal (3) and a assist, Tyler Toffoli had two assists,  while Corey Perry (4), Shea Weber (5), Jeff Petry (10), and Philip Danault (1) each scored for Montreal. Thomas Tatar has his four game point streak end but Jeff Petry extended his point streak to five games (4G-2A-6P). Carey price made 23 saves in his third consecutive start. Montreal has won two of their last three games and has a six game point streak. Neither team had lineup changes. Vancouver’s lone goal scorer was Brock Boeser (14). Thatcher Demko made 40 saves in his 4th consecutive game. Vancouver had their three game winning streak end but have still won four of their last six games.

Montreal is 4th in the North 12-6-7 record, 31 points, 5 points above the playoff line, 25 games played.

Vancouver is 5th in the North 12-16-2 record, 26 points, 5 points back of a playoff spot, 30 games played.
