Buffalo about to go full sell mode?

Hello everyone and welcome back in today’s blog post we are taking a look at the Buffalo Sabres and the possibility of another massive tear down coming in Buffalo. 

Now Elliotte Friedman was recently talking about the Sabres on his recent 32 thoughts podcast and he says that this past week was going to be very big for Buffalo as he says that some big guys in the organization like Thompson and Dahlin have already said that this year has to be different for the Buffalo Sabres and they when this came out had started 0-3 with losses to the Avalanche the Bruins and the Rangers and had a combined two goals in nine periods of hockey. It was not a good start for the Buffalo Sabres fans and there was a jersey thrown on the ice at Monday’s game against the Colorado Avalanche. 

So things are not going overly well for the Buffalo Sabres and as we talked about before, bad starts do not indicate teams making the playoffs and there's a very likely indication that if you have a bad start, you are not going to be a team who makes the playoffs. So like Buffalo really needs to get their act together and keep on winning some games this week. Now this week we did see Buffalo win their first two games of the year beating Ottawa and shutting out Florida so they have pushed the questions back a bit for now but Buffalo is still in a really tight predicament. And if they continue to start out terribly and they are at the 20-25 game mark and maybe closer to Christmas and they're not looking overly well, do we see a fire sale out of Buffalo again?

Like is Buffalo going to go through another rebuild? Is that a possibility? Like guys who have been mentioned recently, could be Alex Tuch who I think Jeff Merrick or David Pagnotta or someone like that mentioned recently that Alex Tuch, if Buffalo isn’t doing well by Thanksgiving he may very likely want out of Buffalo and a team linked to Tuch is Edmonton but a team in my opinion who could really use a guy like Alex Tuch would be a team like Vegas, I think the return of Alex Tuck and adding him to the top six or top nine if they can make that work capwise might be a solid ass and there would be other teams interested if pending UFA Tuch wanted a trade and we'll have to wait and see on that and there's been some talk that if this thing goes sour very fast, could star level players like Dahlin, like Power, like Thompson, these sort of like 25 to 30 year-old players who have been with the Buffalo Sabres for a couple years now, would they want out? Like would Dalene want out? Would Tage Thompson want out? Would Owen Power want out? Like imagine if Rasmus Dahlin came on the market and teams who could use a top 2 center like a Minnesota Wild or potentially even a Vancouver Canucks, imagine them adding a guy like Tage Thompson. 

Like there would be a ton of teams interested in Buffalo Sabres players if Buffalo goes once again through the selling route and I don't know what's wrong with Buffalo. Starting 0-3 again is absolutely awful. I just feel really bad for the dedicated Buffalo Sabres fans. The Sabres are one of my four favourite teams, but I have Ottawa and Vegas as my top two favourite teams. So Buffalo is a little bit more of a back burner favorite team, but for people  who have Buffalo as their favorite team, like I feel so bad for them because it looks like at this point in time they're going to miss the playoffs again, which would be a awful blow for the Buffalo Sabres fan base. And maybe there's another possibility we could see multiple moves from Buffalo once again this year, selling off pieces at this year's trade deadline. So we shall wait and see on that but if Buffalo starts losing a boatload of games again, keep your eye on trade chatter out of Buffalo as they could make multiple moves in the near future, and I would love to hear your thoughts on the comments and don’t forget to also check out my YouTube channel.
