Could Bolts move 2 key guys in-season.

Could Bolts deal Perbix or Hagel.

In this Blog Post I was going through a couple of things and I saw a couple reports and these were just speculations, these were not reports from legit sources so these are just speculations but I saw an article out there talking about two players on the Tampa Bay Lightning who could wind up being traded this year if they are A sellers or B if they're looking for some caps space.

Now we know that the Bolts are tight against the cap and have lost a lot of depth again this off season so they're not in the best position at this point in time so a couple of players that this article mentioned that the Bolts could wind up moving, one would be Nick Perbix like I said it's just speculation but Perbix is in finally of his deal as a UFA and at the end of this contract there's a very likely chance that he's going to want a raise to like $2-3 Million and the Bolts might not be able to pay him that so this article says that he might be a trade candidate given the fact he is a UFA so if the Bolts are for some reason out of the playoff race by the trade deadline that could be a really good trade option there for the Bolts to get something back on the trade return, so I think Perbix has actually started to turn into an extremely talented second pair defensemen so that could be a really good pick up there for a lot of teams in the playoff hunt, so if the bolts were to be out of the playoffs they could look to move a guy who's entering the final year of his deal like a Perbix so that could be interesting.

However one the more interesting name’s that I saw mentioned in that article was Brendan Hagel, Hagel’s a really good top six playmaking forward and he's fitting in extraordinarily well with Tampa but they said that Hagel has a $6.5 million dollar cap hit so it could definitely help the Bolts cap situation and Hagel's one of the few players on that team who has no trade protection so it could really help the Bolts wind up moving him and getting some cap space, now once again just like with Stamkos, you lose Hagel what are you going to replace him with, Hagel’s a really good point producer so if you're moving on from Hegel you got to have some sort of replacement in place for when he's gone, but still that could be another interesting option there for the Bolts to move on from.

So I mean Perbix makes a ton of sense if they were out of a playoff spot and moving a solid player who can be a fourth or fifth defensemen on most teams I think could definitely bring them in a really good return and he's a pending UFA and they may not bring him back, Hagel’s a little bit different as I could see them move Hagel maybe next off-season if they need some more cap flexibility and I think a lot of teams would have interest in Hagel given the fact he's not overly bad, can fit in any team's middle six and doesn't have an overly egregious cap at $6.5 million dollars, so there could be a lot of teams out there who do have some major interest in acquiring Hagel so we'll have to wait and see, but I think that could be an interesting pick up there for a lot of teams if he was on the block, but for the time being I highly doubt either of these two are being considered as being trade chips and I think these ones will only be considered if the Bolts are missing the playoffs and if they really do need some cap space but interesting to note there this article mentions guys like Perbix and Hagel as potential trade candidates there for the Lightning so we'll have to wait and see how this winds up playing out.
