Panthers 3 big UFA’s for 2025.

More big changes coming next offseason for Panthers.

In this blog post we are going over to the Florida Panthers, now this past year we knew the Panthers were going to have a tough time keeping all their team around with guys like Montour and Reinhart entering the final year of their deals and while they were able to keep Reinhardt around, they did not keep Montour who left for Seattle and  OEL who we didn't know at the very beginning of the Season would be a really great player wound up doing great but would leave and sign in Toronto, so the Panthers definitely took a big hit and there's a potentiality of them taking another big hit next year with 3 more significant players not signed past next year.

Now at this point in time Carter Verhaeghe, Sam Bennett and Aaron Ekblad are all entering the final year of their deals, Ekblad at this point is probably a top pair right side, shut down defenseman for the Panthers while Verhaeghe and Bennett are solid top six forwards so to lose all three of them would be horrible, now there's a very likely chance that at least one, if not two of them will get extended before free agency next year, there was already some talk before July 1st that Verhaeghe and the Panthers were talking about a long-term extension and I think there's still a possibility that could happen in the not too distant future, there's a possibility I think Bennett could also be extended by the Panthers as well although I’m not sure how much money he would get, there was some talk I think with Verhaeghe that the extension was between $7.5 and $8.5 Million while I think a Bennett extension  would probably be between $5 and $6 Million in Florida so it'll be interesting to see exactly how those guys possible extensions go, but there's been some trade talk around Aaron Ekblad, but I think that sort of died down after they lost Montour in free agency so I think there's a very likely possibility that the Panthers will try and keep Ekblad for the time being, but does Ekblad  remain beyond next year, I'm not exactly sure.

So it's going to be interesting to see, but the Panthers are going into a season with yet another interesting pool of players who are going to be entering the final year of their deals and potentially hitting the free agent market next year in Verhaeghe, Bennett and Ekblad and there's a very likely chance that maybe one or possibly two or three of them could wind up staying and not hitting the free agent market, so have to wait and see on that but the Panthers could look a whole bunch different next year after looking a whole bunch different after this past off-season so interesting stuff there but this will be another seriously interesting season for the Panthers and it will be interesting to see who winds up staying, and I would love to hear your thoughts on who you think is most likely to stay or go in the comments section below.
