Colorado 5 Buffalo 3 Final

Even after Tage Thompson had a hat trick the Avalanche broke the tie in the third as they were able to get the win. Mikko Rantanen had a goal (26) and a assist, while Alex Newhook (11), Nazem Kadri (21), Nathan Mackinnon (11) and J.T Compher (9) all also scored for the Avalanche. Darcy Kuemper made 29 saves on 32 shots in the win and has won four consecutive games as starter. Cale Makar (0G-6A-6P) and Nathan Mackinnon (2G-2A-4P) both now have four game point streaks. Colorado has now won four of their last five games. Both teams had lineup changes for Colorado Ryan Murray replaced Kurtis MacDermid, and for Buffalo Casey Mittlestadt and Mattias Samuelsson replaced Mark Jankowski and Robert Hagg. Tage Thompson had a hat trick (17,18 and 19), while Jeff Skinner added 2 assists for the Sabres. Dustin Tokarski made 31 saves on 35 shots in the loss and has lost five of his last six games as starter, and Colorado added a EN goal. Rasmus Dahlin (1G-4A-5P) extends his point streak to five games. Buffalo has lost five of their last seven games. Colorado’s win gets them to 76 points and they are running away with the Central and West crown, and for Buffalo they remain at 40 points and are now 20 points back of a playoff spot.

Edmonton 4 Winnipeg 2 Final

Edmonton scores the first three goals and held off a late comeback attempt as they win and narrow in on a top 2 spot in the Pacific. Connor McDavid had a goal (26) and added 2 assists, Tyson Barrie had 2 assists, while Zach Hyman (17), Kailer Yamamoto (10) and Darnell Nurse (6) all also scored for the Oilers. Mikko Koskinen made 22 saves on 24 shots in the win and has won five of his last six games as starter. Connor McDavid (3G-8A-11P) extends his point streak to six games. Edmonton is now on a five game winning streak. Both teams had lineup changes for Edmonton Tyler Benson and Brendan Perlini replaced Devin Shore and Jesse Puljujarvi, and for Winnipeg Evgeny Svechnikov replaced Cole Perfetti. Adam Lowry (4) and Kyle Connor (29) were the two goal scorers for the Jets. Connor Hellebuyck made 36 saves on 39 shots in the loss and had lost ten of his last thirteen games and Edmonton added a EN goal. Winnipeg has lost ten of their last fifteen games. Edmonton’s win gets them to 59 points and are still 3rd in the Pacific but are only a point back of 2nd, and for Winnipeg the loss keeps them at 52 points and they are now 5 points back of a playoff spot.

St.Louis 6 Toronto 3 Final

After the Blues and and Maple Leafs emerged tied after two periods the Blues were able to score twice in a short period of time as they got the win and moved up the Central Standings. Pavel Buchnevich scored twice (17 and 18), David Perron and Robert Thomas both had  2 assists, while Klim Kostin (4), Brayden Schenn (14), Brandon Saad (16) and Ryan O’Reilly (11) all also scored for the Blues. Ville Husso made 34 saves on 37 shots in the win and has won three of his last four games as starter. Justin Faulk (1G-5A-6P) extends his point streak to six games, Pavel Buchnevich (3G-6A-9P) extends his point streak to five games, and Robert Thomas (2G-5A-7P) now has a four game point streak. St.Louis is now on a four game point streak. Both teams had lineup changes for St.Louis Logan Brown and Tyler Bozak and Logan Brown replaced Vladimir Tarasenko and Dakota Joshua, and for Toronto Timothy Liljegren replaced Travis Dermott. William Nylander scored twice (18 and 19), John Tavares had 2 assists, while T.J Brodie (4) also scored for the Maple Leafs. Jack Campbell made 28 saves on 33 shots in the loss and St.Louis added a EN goal. Auston Matthews has his nine game point streak ended. Toronto has loss three of their last five games. Toronto’s loss keeps them at 67 points and they remain 3rd in the Atlantic, and for St.Louis the win gets them to 63 points and they leapfrog Minnesota for 2nd in the Central.

Boston 3 Ottawa 2 Final/OT

Boston gave up two one goal leads including a late one but recovered in OT to get the win and increase their lead for the last playoff spot. Mike Reilly had 2 assists, while Jake DeBrusk (8), Brandon Carlo (4) and David Pastrnak (25) were the three goal scorers for the Bruins. Jeremy Swayman made 29 saves on 31 shots in the win and has won two of his last three games as starter. Boston has a point in three of their last four games. Boston had the only lineup changes as Jack Studnicka and Connor Clifton replaced Anton Blidh and Derek Forbort. Tim Stutzle (10) and Nick Holden (4) were the two goal scorers for the Senators. Anton Forsberg made 30 saves on 33 shots in the loss and has lost four of his last seven games as starter. Ottawa has now lost four of their last six games. Ottawa’s loss got them a point and they are now at 41 points and are now 19 points back of a playoff spot, and for Boston the win gets them to 60 points and increase their lead for the last playoff spot.

Los Angeles 5 Arizona 3 Final

After they fell behind 3-1 they would score four consecutive goals to get the win and keep the 2nd wildcard spot. Drew Doughty (6 and 7), and Adrian Kempe (22 and 23) both scored twice and added a assist, Anze Kopitar had 3 assists, while Trevor Moore (8) also scored for the Kings. Cal Peterson made 20 saves on 23 shots in the win and has won four of his last five games. Los Angeles had won four of their last five games and have a point in eight of their last nine. Arizona had the only lineup changes as Barrett Hayton, Liam O’Brien, Kyle Capobianco and Scott Wedgewood who was backup replaced Ryan Dzingel, Riley Nash, Ilya Lybushkin and Ivan Prosvetov. Anton Stralman (4), Lawson Crouse (13) and Clayton Keller (19) were the three goal scorers for the Coyotes. Karel Vejmelka made 34 saves on 39 shots in the loss and has lost seven of his last eight games as starter. Arizona has lost four of their last five games. Arizona’s loss keeps them at 28 points and they are now 31 points back of a playoff spot, and for Los Angeles the win gets them to 59 points and they now have insurance for the last playoff spot in the West.

Anaheim 7 Vancouver 4 Final 

Anaheim would control this game before it started as the Ducks scored the first five goals of the game and would destroy Vancouver to keep pace with the last playoff spot in the West. Trevor Zegras had 3 assists, Adam Henrique (8 and 9) and Nick Deslauriers (3 and 4) both scored twice, Troy Terry had a goal (26) and a assist , Sam Carrick had 2 assists, while Rickard Rakell (12) and Sam Steel (6) both also scored for the Ducks. John Gibson made 16 saves on 20 shots in the win. Anaheim has now ended their four game losing streak. Anaheim had the only lineup change as Simon Benoit replaced Greg Pateryn. Elias Pettersson had a goal (14) and 2 assists, while Conor Garland (13), Quinn Hughes (4) and Tanner Pearson (8) all had a goal and added a assist for the Canucks. Thatcher Demko let in 5 goals on 14 shots before being replaced by Jaroslav Halak who made 9 saves on 11 shots in the loss and in relief. Oliver Ekman-Larsson has his five game point streak ended. Vancouver’s loss keeps them at 52 points and they are now 7 points back of a playoff spot, and Anaheim’s win gets them to 57 points and they remain 2 points back of a playoff spot.

Calgary 2 Seattle 1 Final

After a pretty even match that was tied for the longest time the Flames broke the tie in the third and held on as they win and increase their lead for top in the Pacific. Elias Lindholm (22) and Matthew Tkachuk (24) were the two goal scorers for the Flames. Jacob Markstrom made 22 saves on 23 shots in the win and has won seven consecutive games as starter. Johnny Gaudreau’s eight game point streak and Andrew Mangiapane’s seven game point streaks both ended, while Elias Lindholm (8G-7A-15P) extends his point streak to nine games, and Matthew Tkachuk (4G-7A-11P) extends his point streak to six games. Calgary is now on a nine game winning streak. Seattle had the only lineup changes as Austin Czarnik and Haydn Fleury replaced Morgan Geekie and Carson Soucy. Calle Jarnkrok (10) was the lone goal scorer for the Kraken. Philipp Grubauer made 35 saves on 37 shots in the loss and he has lost four consecutive games as starter. Seattle is now on a three game losing streak and have lost four of their last five games. Seattle’s loss keeps them at 36 points and are now 23 points back of a playoff spot, and for Calgary the win gets them to 64 points and they put distance between them and everyone else for top in the the Pacific.
